*PROF. ALI AHMAD HONOURS SENATOR GBEMISOLA SARAKI ON HER BIRTHDAY* Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. @HonAliAhmad, has extended heartfelt and resounding birthday felicitations to Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki, an illustrious daughter of Kwara State and an exceptional stateswoman, as she celebrates another remarkable milestone today, May 3rd. Prof. Ahmad extolled Senator Saraki as a shining embodiment of excellence in public service, noting that her distinguished journey—as a former member of the House of Representatives, a respected Senator of the Federal Republic, and a former Minister who served diligently in two strategic federal ministries—speaks volumes of her unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s advancement and democratic consolidation. “Senator Gbemisola Saraki stands tall as a beacon of purposeful leadership and exemplary public accountability,” Prof. Ahmad remarked. “Her enduring devotion to national service, her composed yet firm leadership disposition, and her relentless advocacy for the empowerment of women and youth continue to ignite hope and inspire admiration across political divides.” He further applauded her remarkable legacy—one that, though anchored in a revered political heritage, has been distinctly shaped by her personal brilliance, proven competence, and steadfast dedication to sustainable development. “As she marks this significant occasion, I join countless Nigerians of goodwill in wishing her robust health, divine guidance, and even greater accomplishments in her continued service to our dear nation,” Prof. Ahmad added. Prof. Ahmad concluded with prayers for renewed vitality and greater heights for the celebrant. “May the years ahead usher in greater strength, profound wisdom, and boundless opportunities for her to further leave an indelible mark on society. May her legacy flourish as a radiant symbol of integrity, service, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress.” Signed: Sa’ad Ayinde Media Assistant, Prof. Ali Ahmad, Former Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly © @bukolasaraki @ToyinSaraki @abubakarbaraje2 @TunjiMoronfoye @babaidris090

… For our market women and traders who have been displaced from their homes, shops, and places of business without viable alternatives, this must be addressed. Yes, government may relocate markets, but it is essential that proper and suitable alternatives are provided before any displacement takes place. This is not new. Previous administrations successfully relocated traders from Post Office to Kulende, and from Ago to Ita-Amo, ensuring continuity of business activities. It has been done before, and it can be done again and better. Our government is committed to reviewing this situation and creating safe, accessible, and well-equipped environments where market women and traders can thrive, sustain their businesses, and support their families. Market women and traders will be adequately supported and protected under our leadership. I am Prof. Ali Ahmad

PROF. ALI AHMAD CELEBRATES WORKERS ON THE OCCASION OF WORKERS’ DAY “The strength of any nation lies in the dedication and productivity of its workforce.” Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. @HonAliAhmad, warmly felicitates with Nigerian workers on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day, emphasizing that they remain the engine of growth and the foundation upon which sustainable development is built across the state and the nation. Nigerian workers, across the public and private sectors, remain the driving force of governance, economic stability, and societal progress. Their resilience, diligence, and sense of duty continue to sustain institutions and services, even in the face of mounting challenges. Prof. Ahmad noted that the present economic realities have placed unprecedented strain on workers, significantly affecting their productivity and welfare. He observed that the rising cost of transportation and living has forced many workers to adopt coping mechanisms, including the implementation of duty rosters in several government offices, where employees now report to work only on selected days of the week due to financial constraints. Reflecting on the situation, Prof. Ahmad stated, “It is deeply concerning that many of our dedicated workers, who should be fully engaged in driving governance and development, are now compelled to ration their presence at work because of the high cost of transportation. This reality calls for urgent and thoughtful intervention.” He further expressed concern over the growing insecurity across different parts of the country, noting that the alarming trend has also placed Kwara State on a high index of safety challenges. He made particular reference to Kwara North and Kwara South as the regions most affected within the state. According to him, the persistent threats of banditry and violent attacks have created unsafe working conditions, endangering lives, disrupting livelihoods, and significantly weakening the morale of workers striving to carry out their duties under increasingly uncertain circumstances. “Many workers today carry out their responsibilities under fear and uncertainty. The threat to life in certain areas has made the simple act of going to work a daily risk. This is unacceptable and demands decisive action to ensure the safety and protection of all citizens,” he added. Prof. Ahmad emphasized that workers deserve not just commendation but concrete policies that prioritize their welfare, including improved remuneration, safer working environments, and economic policies that ease the burden of daily living. He commended the perseverance and patriotism of Nigerian workers, describing them as the backbone of the nation whose sacrifices must never be taken for granted. “As we celebrate Workers’ Day, we honour not just the labour of our people, but their courage, endurance, and unwavering commitment to nation-building. Their struggles are seen, their voices must be heard, and their welfare must remain a top priority,” Prof. Ahmad remarked. He concluded by praying for improved conditions for workers and a future where their efforts are matched with dignity, security, and prosperity. “Today, we celebrate the strength and spirit of our workforce. May their labour never be in vain, and may our nation rise to meet their expectations with fairness, justice, and opportunity for all.” Signed: Sa’ad Ayinde Media Assistant to Prof. Ali Ahmad Former Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly © @bukolasaraki @ToyinSaraki @abubakarbaraje2 @Kwara_PDP @AbolajiAda54700

Sir, you often express strong opinions regarding the concerning direction which our state seems to be heading, particularly under the leadership of AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq. In the interview, you highlighted numerous issues that are affecting the state, from the "shady deal" in various projects that were intended to propel us forward. You also raised the alarm about matters of security, which has not only jeopardized the safety and well-being of our citizens but has also tarnished our state’s reputation both regionally and nationally. It becomes paramount that we unite in our efforts to support the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the candidacy of Professor Ali Ahmad, who represents a hopeful vision for a more prosperous and secure future for our state.
Prof. Ali Ahmad@HonAliAhmad

The other day, I was a guest on Ben Uwabor’s One on One podcast session, where I spoke about key issues affecting our state. One of the major problems with the administration of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is its lack of TRANSPARENCY. This is a government that, in my view, operates without openness and accountability. A truly responsive government should never resort to sending thugs after its own citizens, especially when they are peacefully protesting against insecurity in their communities. The safety and voices of the people must always be respected. If I am elected and given the mandate, I will ensure that anyone convicted of terrorism or banditry is effectively prosecuted and punished according to the law. By taking firm and lawful action, we can significantly reduce the insecurity that has plagued our people in Kwara State. Power to the People PDP is the Answer!

Dear Market Traders, We recognize your struggles and understand the hardship caused by being displaced from your places of daily business without any suitable alternative provided. While development and infrastructure are essential for community growth, it should not come at the expense of hardworking citizens who depend on these markets for their livelihood. Closing down markets without creating a conducive environment for traders is not progress—it is a setback. Your voices matter, and they have been heard. It is time to change the narrative and build a system that supports, protects, and empowers every taxpayer and trader. A vote for PDP is a vote for a better, more supportive trading environment. Support @Kwara_PDP. Support Prof. @HonAliAhmad. Power to the People ❤️ © @bukolasaraki @ToyinSaraki @abubakarbaraje2 @aliahmad4kwara @TunjiMoronfoye @babaidris090

PROF. ALI AHMAD CELEBRATES HON. KAMALDEEN OYEKUNLE FAGBEMI (TAFO) ON HIS BIRTHDAY Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. @HonAliAhmad, warmly felicitates with Hon. Kamaldeen Oyekunle Fagbemi, fondly known as Tafo, on the occasion of his birthday. A Prince of Ijagbo in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Hon. Fagbemi is a distinguished two term legislator, accomplished legal luminary, committed party man, and a respected stakeholder of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP. He is also widely acknowledged as a philanthropist whose generosity has positively impacted countless lives across communities. Hon. Fagbemi’s life and career exemplify the highest standards of leadership, service, and humanity. His journey in public service and the legal profession reflects uncommon dedication, competence, and an enduring commitment to justice and the welfare of the people. Reflecting on his sterling qualities, Prof. Ahmad invoked the timeless words of Abraham Lincoln: “Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.” He noted that Hon. Fagbemi represents that real thing, a man whose character is firmly rooted in integrity, sincerity, and selfless service. “Hon. Fagbemi’s tenure in the legislature was marked not only by eloquence but by wisdom, maturity, and a deep sense of responsibility to his constituents and Kwara State at large,” Prof. Ahmad stated. “He stood out as a stabilizing force, a bridge builder, and a lawmaker whose focus remained on service above self.” Beyond the legislature, his impact within the legal profession remains profound. His adherence to the finest traditions of the Bar, integrity, diligence, and excellence, has earned him widespread respect among peers. As a devoted party man and @Kwara_PDP stakeholder, he has consistently demonstrated loyalty, discipline, and a commitment to strengthening the party’s ideals and unity. Prof. Ahmad further described Tafo as a man of rare humility and generosity, whose open heart and cheerful disposition continue to foster unity and goodwill within the political space and across communities. His philanthropic efforts and people centered approach have endeared him to many, particularly in Oyun and across Kwara South. “Hon. Fagbemi is a shining example of impactful leadership, quiet yet powerful, modest yet deeply influential. His life’s work reflects compassion, integrity, and a genuine commitment to uplifting others,” Prof. Ahmad remarked. As he marks this special milestone, Prof. Ahmad expresses gratitude to Almighty Allah for the gift of Hon. Fagbemi’s life and prays for his continued good health, greater wisdom, and sustained relevance in service to humanity. “Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a legacy defined by integrity, kindness, loyalty, and unity. May Hon. Kamaldeen Oyekunle Fagbemi Tafo continue to shine as a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations to come.” Signed: Sa’ad Ayinde Media Assistant to Prof. Ali Ahmad Former Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly © @bukolasaraki @ToyinSaraki @abubakarbaraje2 @TunjiMoronfoye @babaidris090
