Premier Danielle Smith indicates Alberta may explore a halal insurance model open to anyone, where participants could receive refunds if no claims are made “Everyone pays in, and if you have a claim your insurance goes up, and if you don’t have a claim you get some money back”

Master the basics until they're unconscious. You can't play strategy if you're still thinking about how to move the pieces.

My wife is getting sold on Pierre Poilievre just because of ‘The Diary of the CEO’ podcast. We are not about to become conservatives, are we? 😏😒

When you’re a person who values yourself highly, people will continuously cast you in narratives that frame you as arrogant or harsh because they feel entitled to your proximity despite disrespecting you. Distancing myself from what doesn’t serve me isn’t brutality. It’s correct.

I think one of the worst effects of the internet is that it allowed all the idiots to connect with each other and convince themselves it's actually good to be ignorant instead of continuing to see learning as something valuable (even if difficult to obtain).

@Ayomide Understandably. I go up and down I'll give up and after some years will be back at it. Nigeria - like a toxic relationship :)

Profound points. I agree politics shapes outcomes, but I don’t fully agree that citizens need to be sophisticated to engage meaningfully. People don’t need to understand macro theory to recognize cause and effect in their daily reality, prices, income, jobs, cost of living.
David O.S.@_shobowale

@Ayomide The decisions that drive our economic realities are being shaped by politics. If we're interested in sound economic decisions, we then have to be EQUALLY interested in the country's politics, as it produces the decisions.

@Ayomide To choke out that "Nigeria is very rich but corruption and bad leaders are the only things holding Nigeria back" mindset. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I want to maintain that hope.
