Communists vs. Nationalists Hare Krishna Konar, one of many “conveniently forgotten” freedom fighters, was just 18 when he was deported to the Cellular Jail and never wrote a mercy petition. Later, he became the founding member of the CPI(M). (A thread🧵)

Land reforms ended feudal land relations, it didn't create wealth, it created a social floor. A person in Kerala in 1981 earning ₹100 a month had access to a free ration shop, a free clinic, and a free school. A person in Bihar earning ₹150 had none of those.(1)

This is another myth spread by commies. Kerala was one of the poorest states in India in the 1981 census, decades after the land reforms. Kerala's poverty only started declining meaningfully after the Gulf boom.

Just as I was addressing the American people, the head of our Strategic Council on Foreign Policy was targeted in an assassination attempt, leading to the martyrdom of his innocent wife. Let the world judge; which side engages in dialogue and negotiation, and which in terrorism?
