Happy birthday to us bros! Yay! We be 5 years old. This be the date the vet chose for our birthday when we saw her after being rescued from the wilderness. We started out abandoned and starving, now we be happy and healthy! 🎊🐈‍⬛🐾🐈‍⬛🎊

As you probably noticed, I've been very silent this week. Last Friday, we found out that our beautiful Ratatouille is dying from cancer. He has drastically lost weight, and he is throwing up a lot. They said that's because of where the cancer is. They wanted me to put him down. But, he is still eating, drinking, grooming, trying to play, and wants attention. So, I chose to watch him live! I am treating his nausea, giving him subcutaneous fluids, and watching for any signs of pain. He is about 13 and a very loving gentleman who taps me when he wants pets. Rescuing animals is wonderful, but watching things like this happen to them is heart-wrenching!

We have been very busy these past few weeks. Sorry if we missed anyone's birthday - wishing all the lovely fur children a Happy belated Birthday! xx

My cat passed away today after about six weeks of his health rapidly deteriorating. Still not sure exactly what was going on so I'm a little flustered. He was my best friend and my constant for fifteen years. I feel incomplete. 🥲

We had to say goodbye to our sweet Sana. The cancer was getting worse, and we had to make the choice to let her go. Our hearts are broken, and we miss her so much. Her hammock is still hanging. We haven't been able to take it down.. Goodbye, sweet girl.

It feels like we are just covered in a cloak of sadness right now. Buddy passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, this morning. He was absolutely fine yesterday but when we came in this morning, he was clearly on his way out. Doctor thinks that his liver shut down, and it was likely a byproduct of his FelV status. The disease just prohibits their body from fighting anything that happens. When they get sick, they go downhill so quickly. But we didn't think it would be this soon. The last couple weeks we were really, really trying to find Buddy a home so that he could enjoy some time out of the shelter and out of a cage. And we weren't able to make that happen for him, which is really hard to reconcile. In time, we will appreciate that we gave him a soft place to land where he was safe and loved. But right now, we're gonna grieve for the loss of this beautiful boy because, for lack of better words, it just sucks. Goodbye, sweet boy. We will miss you forever. 💔🌈

🌈 😿 February 25th, our precious senior tabby Gizzabella Amoretta "Belle" sailed over the rainbow bridge on a river of our tears. 20 years of love, devotion, comforting purrs, and companionship she gave to us. Our sassy, spicy girl left some big paws to fill. She was a member of the "Super Senior Cats Club" on Twitter. 👑 A Founding member of the "Southern Belle Felines". 👑 Thank you to Dr. Grantham and Vet Tech Cathy from Triangle Vet Clinic in Union, for helping her cross comfortably, compassionately at home. Last night, our sweet Roy passed peacefully in his sleep. He was our 14-year-old black lab and truly the best dog we’ve ever known. Gentle, loyal, and full of love, he was always ready for a walk and never let us forget a promise. He adored his babies and proudly carried them around whenever he was happy. Our hearts are broken, but we’re grateful he is no longer hurting and left this world peacefully. Thank you for loving us so faithfully, sweet Roy. You will be missed forever. Please keep our family in your prayers.

With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news that little Chai has passed away. It seems that his fall caused a severe brain injury, leading to the serious neurological issues he faced, and tests also indicated internal bleeding. Rest in peace, sweet Chai.

Dear Pals , I had my ultrasound today & the cancer has not spread… thank dogness!!! …butts now I has a surgery on Feb 23 …vetty has to get the cancer out of me dat dey sees ..butts my humama & papa dey do all they can for me ..prayers is what I needs mostest… 🙏🙏🙏
