Bathi we are not in government so why are you blaming us but you are in parliament trying to pass laws that get illegal immigrants documented ‼️‼️

During Jacob Zuma's presidency (2009–2018), South Africa was running 4 major crude oil refineries — Sapref (Durban), Enref (Durban), Astron/Chevref (Cape Town), and Natref (Sasolburg). We had strong domestic refining capacity, processed our own fuel needs more independently, and weren't as exposed to global price shocks and import dependency. Fast forward to @CyrilRamaphosa's era (2018–present): We are now down to just 2 operational crude oil refineries Natref and Astron Energy. The other two (Sapref and Enref) have been closed for years due to fires, floods, maintenance failures, and lack of timely investment. Sapref remains shut despite government acquisition, with revival plans dragging on. This massive decline in local refining capacity has left South Africa🇿🇦 heavily reliant on expensive imported refined fuels — making us more vulnerable to international oil crises, rand weakness, and fuel price hikes that hit every motorist and business hard. Strong infrastructure and energy security matter. The Zuma years maintained what we inherited. The current administration has presided over a sharp reduction in our refining muscle. Facts speak louder than spin. Time to ask: What happened to our energy independence❓‼️ #ZumaEraStrength #FuelSecurity #SouthAfricaEnergy @GovernmentZA @AdvBMkhwebane @MagaselaMzobe @MzwaneleManyi @AdvDali_Mpofu @SizweMpofuWalsh @Mngxitama2 @AfricaisBlack @Knick_RSA @jsteenhuisen @GwedeMantashe1 @nomvulamoko_ @MbalulaFikile @MYANC @MkhontoweSizwex @azania1023 @XFactor079 @itsmmabatho @XFactor079 @goolamv @ChrisExcel102 @SABCNews @Julius_S_Malema @JGZ_Foundation
