@AzrealNick When can we expect your Bloof 2 map pack?

I don't care what the "popular" opinion is.. I will always have a soft spot for Blood 2. Despite it's (many) flaws and being unfinished, it can still be fun. And, the art direction is classic Monolith. Game is still gorgeous.

@blakecasimir The game was released unfinished. Monolith asked their publisher for a 6 month extension and were denied. Weapons, enemies.. a lot of stuff was not properly balanced and complete.

@AzrealNick It's a very poorly designed experience. Random weapon damage on that level is fundamentally a terrible game design decision. The plot was nonsensical and unnecessary. Monolith put out a ton of great games, Blood 2 really isn't one of them. But FWIW it deserved better.

@DuncanR2N Aliens Versus Predator 2 is classic Monolith. Lith's entire catalog from Shogo on runs on different versions of LithTech.. Shadow of War being the final one. Die Hard Nakatomi Plaza uses Lithtech as well.

@AzrealNick I loved Blood and Blood 2 But more than that, there was something that I really loved about the Lithtech engine games. Blood 2 Shogo KISS Psycho Circus And of course No One Lives Forever I have very fond memories of those games

@darkgary7 Yeah, hitscan plus no wakeup/reaction time. They can shoot you the split second they see you.

@AzrealNick My only complaint is The enemies NEVER miss. But they do go down easily.

@lwenx__ From what I remember, they intentionally wanted to make something completely different. They didn't want to make the same thing again.

@AzrealNick I did actually find it to be quite fun as well and I thought the graphics and aesthetics were awesome as well. Of course it is no sequel to Blood and it should have been different but for what it is it's an alright time.

@pixeladder I've been using the Steam version... I had written out the steps I use a while back. They are not anything special.. But, with Blood 2, what works for one won't always work for another.

@AzrealNick Loved this game back then. I have been trying to find a way to get it to run on my pc but no success unfortunately, not even with the GOG download.

@AzrealNick I remember the smoke plumes from the machine guns would drop my fps to about 3

@R4ZEL1GHT Yeah, sadly there's no "universal" fix... It really differs from PC to PC, so takes a lot of tweaking to find the "perfect" set of fixes to make it work.

@AzrealNick My main complain is mostly the crashing. The PCGamingWiki only helps on a few issues, which is still annoying.

@TafferKing451 Well.. couldn't use a picture of a sky from the game... That's just too much.

Daikatana added Steam Cloud support and the announcement uses a stock image of clouds. I love it.

@tanc_shadeex Yep. Someone sent me a DM saying the Spanish version will play in US Bluray players, and can be found for 30 bucks.. So.. I might look into that. 😄

@AzrealNick Yeah 200 - 400 for a single Blu-ray is an insane asking price. Absolutely fuck that.

Got a copy of one of my favorite movies.. It's out of print, so had to get a DVD copy instead of Bluray. The DVD cost 10 bucks, the Blurays go for between 200 and 400 on Ebay.. Is insane.

@KevGalaxybender They are not available on any digital store.

@AzrealNick I gotta get in on some Kate Archer action. I have both games floating around somewhere on a hard drive. Aren't they vaporware or are they on GOG?

And NOLF 2... I feel like a broken record. Still.. amazing game. One I've played countless times, and I'm sure I'll continue to revisit it over and over again.

@AzrealNick The stealth sections were abysmal, though.

@FPSthetics Hexen 2 with Portals of Paevus Wolfenstein being relisted would be nice, but, that's all it needs. It doesn't need a remaster. Just work out the legal crap and get it relisted.

If we get another remaster/rerelease at Quakecon this year, what do you hope to see?

@PhillipCon37043 The game's rights are in hell, mixed between three different publishers. Stephen tried years ago to sort it out. The companies involved were not interested.

The fact that this team.. will never make another NOLF.. Makes me more sad than I can express. NOLF 1 and 2 are classics. Absolute classics.
