Assuming she wants to go out there's nowhere to fucking go, the UK is a underfunded shithole with no community stuff. Almost all outside activities are too expensive, kids don't want to "just walk in nature" like crazy people in the replies are saying. They're cutting off her ability to socialise online which to some people is preferential than dealing with dickheads irl , tonnes of kids entire social lives are online if they're introverted and that is okay. "Watch TV" - TV is dead, "Watch Netflix" - Better hope her family can afford the increasingly insane subscription , "Play Video Games" - theres no way restricting gaming time like China isn't next and they're already removing social aspects of gaming for kids.

Here's how I'd change new Kate to feel more like her - The main noticeable difference is the hair color which already helps a lot. Though, I slightly adjusted her face a bit! I really hope they decide to go with her strawberry blonde instead of the new ashy blonde.

This is just going to lead to a bunch of lonely teenagers getting even more depressed or worse. Social media is a lifeline to the introverted. The majority of parents who will be celebrating this are ones who are not competent enough to do so in the first place and need the state to intervene.

It beggars belief that anyone with kids thinks this a bad idea somehow! You either care about children's safety or you don't. My only gripe is that I feel strongly that platforms should be built with a safety-by-design and not feature harmful content in the first place... the likes of Meta have done zero to improve the situation, despite regulation.
