With the release of all living hostages held by Hamas, the first seeds towards what could be a more peaceful region have been planted. Hamas must also honor their commitment to release the remains of deceased hostages to their loved ones.
I urge the international community to surge unfettered humanitarian assistance into Gaza, and call on Israel to uphold their commitments in the deal.
We have been this close to a cessation of hostilities before, and during this transition period we must all commit to advancing, and maintaining peace.
