@UPS why does every delivery get delayed multiple times? My package got driven from Philadelphia, 10 hours out of the way *past the destination in DC* to Columbia, SC. This is ridiculous. @Google please use a more reliable carrier for orders from your store!

@Srirachachau I think enthusiasm of the base is also important to attract voters outside the base. But turnout in blue areas is extremely high, I think she has turned out the base. He has too and there is evidence moderates have drifted right. No simple answers with this one

Once again, insane that it’s just received wisdom that ya gotta pivot to the right to get conservative voters. They already have a party and you do it at the cost of your base. It’s not even complicated, it’s just dumb

@girlwithatail I work in tax law and it's so incredibly frustrating. They designed the law to give them another chance to "cut" by extending it before an election, or make democrats "raise taxes" by letting it expire. Ofc they made corporate rate cuts permanent but useful stuff temporary.

@girlwithatail I can't believe how spot on some of the older actors are. The 3 people playing Lila you could easily convince me are the same person at different ages, and same with Greco but the oldest actor is not as uncanny and looks aged up to me.

@girlwithatail Yes! I think most of the casting of old versions is miraculously good, but Nino definitely looks 10 years older than everyone else. I guess his lifestyle prematurely ages him?

@qunzter @zerochills I routinely see cops put sirens on to go through a light or avoid traffic, so I wouldn't just assume they were responding to an emergency. Also railroads sure generally federally regulated so I don't know the law but cops might not legally be allowed to run them

Walz's tailoring is pretty mediocre, but it's not nearly as bad as RFK's. IMO, the more defining quality is that he looks good in his casualwear. I've been recommending things such as LL Bean barn coats, Filson Mackinaws, and Red Wing work boots for almost 15 years. Walz wears these pieces in coherent ways — with jeans, sneakers, and camo caps. The proportions fit and work for his body. Importantly, the style looks authentic on him and not like a put-on. RFK's tailoring is bad because it doesn't fit and the proportions don't work. Lots of people piling on Walz because he's not thin and/ or doesn't present himself in this generic middle-class way (meaning, when he's in casualwear). I find business casual to be pretty ugly and don't care if someone is big. To me, this is a central disagreement about what style means. Look at the difference in fit and proportions between photos three and four. IMO, it's more important to get the language right than to conform to some middle-class notion of "respectability" or "presentability."

People doubted me when i said RFK is the worst-dressed major candidate in this election, but it's clear in this photo. His jacket does not hug his neck. The tie and collar points are too diminutive for lapel width. Trump just wears big suits, which is against the slim fit trend.
