Okay when you get 200000 I’ll take your data more seriously ….. can you drive 650 miles with one 5 minute stop ….. the answer is no …. So your input is invalid …. Cool car yes … Cheap refuel yess… More reliable noo Safer….. maybe … it’s a heavy vehicle Cheaper to maintain idk… My car has beeen about $3500 about 200000 miles …. You get 65000 free oil change when you buy new…… when you get to 200k then we will seee . I got 150000 highway miles … ice cars are peak on highways … When teslas get 500 mile range I will seriously consider ….. Some days I drive over 175 miles I would hate to charge it everyday… and it’s gets terrible cold in my area in the winter ….. battery’s really bad in cold 🥶 Good luck tho 🇺🇸❤️ I love Tesla…. American company

@mikepat711 Solution to this is just to drag the seat and steering wheel controls to be persistent in the menu bar. You can adjust the controls without affecting the hvac at all.

@CartierCartell @mikepat711 I can see the appeal, but I suspect the extra aerodynamic drag more than makes up for any savings from turning off the HVAC.

@mikepat711 My move on summer day is to just roll the windows down, click the power botton on the AC system too turn it off, but the cooling seats remain on. Warm breeze with window down + cooling seats makes for a great drive.

@axelbutters96 @niccruzpatane Affect, not effect. These days Teslas have a very sophisticated heat pump system that scavenges heat from various sources, so winter range loss is no longer a big deal. Camry is a good reliable car. Enjoy it.

If you are talking about 175 miles every 15 minutes what the fuck is the point …. I get 360 miles (cold or hot doesn’t effect shit) from my 10 year old Camry In a 5 minute fill up. I lost 30 miles in efficiency in 200000 miles….. electrics cars are like 50 years from being convenient to ice cars 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

@axelbutters96 @niccruzpatane Reliability is actually an advantage of EVs, as they have far fewer moving parts and far less extreme temperatures to deal with. And a fun to be able to do 0 to 60 in 4 seconds flat.

@axelbutters96 @niccruzpatane One of the first things you learn about EV road tripping is that charging speed is not constant, so it very rarely makes sense to charge to 100%. Tesla’s trip planner optimizes for total trip time by default, and that means most charging stops end at about 70% state of charge.

Charging stops are usually about 15 minutes. I’ve only had to wait for a charger once in tens of thousands of miles road tripping, and even then it was just a few minutes. You seem to have some misconceptions about what it’s really like to road trip in a Tesla. Maybe you should try it.

@B1kesRule @niccruzpatane Bro with a Tesla you can only do 300 than hope there’s (open) faster charger 45 minutes break on the best chance … 2hour max ahahahhahahahhaha you don’t even have the opportunity to dooo 12 hours straight

@axelbutters96 @niccruzpatane I love driving. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it for 12 hours straight. Everything in moderation. You apparently have no idea how good Tesla’s Supercharger network is.

@Derooter @NestorLRamos @Rivian @Tesla The primary competition for Model Y is RAV4. Together all the other EV competitors add up to about a third of the sales volume of Model Y. I suspect Tesla’s small price increases have more to do with high gas prices than anything else.

The R2 is $60k no matter how you slice it. Even the premium model - different color- $2k, Autonomy + $2500, different wheels- $2k, tow hitch - $750. It’s actually more expensive than the performance model when comparably equipped. It’s probably why Tesla just raised the price of the Y. - they know they can!

@niccruzpatane Note that optional larger wheels have 6 to 12% less range. They don’t always get a separate EPA rating, but the range impact is there regardless. Some of that is from aerodynamics and some is from the choice of tires. I always get the larger wheels despite this.

A question for all Tesla owners: Full screen visualization or split screen? Full screen gives that immersive, futuristic and clean vibe, but split screen keeps the map handy with more information visible. What’s your go-to setting? Full screen 🖥️ or Split screen 🗺️

I’ve posted this in the past, but I see so many Tesla’s all janked up from soap scum, so I’m posting it again. This is how you fix it. WD-40 + tiny spray on cloth. Takes 30 secs.
