"Forbidden Planet" was released on this day in 1956. Groundbreaking science fiction film from director Fred M. Wilcox and screenwriter Cyril Hume. Extraordinary cast (especially the scene stealing Robby the Robot), Oscar-nominated special effects, eye-popping cinematography by George J. Folsey, and revolutionary electronic score by Bebe and Louis Barron. One of the greatest films of all-time.

@AuchTwo That’s a great shame. Alex has written a brilliantly fresh script that really captures the spirit of the original Dan Dare whilst making him relevant for today. And then there’s Marc Laming’s art which is quite stunning and very dramatic.

I'd normally be in on a Dan Dare GN ... but as soon as I saw talent void Alex De Campi's name ... I was out. Still have fond memories of the Garth Ennis version, less so the Peter Milligan one from Titan.
