I'm not a fan of superhero movies. Never have been. After finishing The Mentalist (Season 1 - 8), I needed something else to watch and everyone kept recommending The Boys. I resisted for a long time. After the first 3 episodes, I was already preparing my excuse to drop it. "This superhero stuff is not for me." Little did I know... 👇

You can’t take that away from him. That’s why he’s still one of the wealthiest ex-footballers ever, if not No. 1. He wasn’t the most talented or naturally gifted player, but he mastered his craft, perfected his free-kicks through hard work, and built a brand that keeps paying long after retirement.

Related, David Beckham said in his documentary that Sir Alex did not allow any other colour of boots except black. In fact, other colours of boot weren't that common back then. The Man United players revered Sir Alex, and would never go against whatever he said, including the strict black boots policy. Then Becks came to training with some flashy boots, he was becoming a media sensation then, he was appearing in front covers, endorsements were flowing, Sir Alex was fuming. The boy he he took from his parents at 16 was becoming a man, it made him angry, but Beckham was disobedient. Other players could not believe he would wear shiny boots lol. This was the beginning. You see why I tell you guys players like Beckham crawled so that others like Cristiano would walk. Sir Alex had seen it all with Beckham, that's why he handled Cristiano differently. How about the hairstyles? Beckham had a new hairstyle and wore some head warmers to match day, Sir Alex told him to take it off so he can see, Becks said No. Becks warmed up with it without taking it off. It was when they lined up for the game that he took it off. Sir Alex was fuming at the hairstyle😅😅 Please watch Beckham's documentary if you haven't.
Rilwan@Real1_balogun

Footballers said they wanted more colourful boots because it helps their confidence in games. It gives them a shot of energy because they want to show they’re good enough to wear something as bright and bold as those colours. Nike said another consideration they made was that there’s no country at the World Cup that has pink as its jersey. Referees also have pink jerseys. What’s the origin of referees’ pink like the one seen yesterday in the Uruguay vs Saudi game? They’re paying homage to Miami. The pink flamingos and the city’s pink sunset. Lots of thinking going into designs.

@Chinaluemmanuel Noted… so that’s why most of them suddenly develop “ill health” whenever it’s time to apply for bail. 😫🤣🤣 You know who.

Section 161 is on the grant of bail in capital offences. It provides condition(s) to be stated in the affidavit to enable the Court to exercise its discretion. One of the conditions is ill health that can not be managed in prison. Where the above is not captured, the Court will refuse the bail application.
Babatunde Babalola@BBDoyen

@Chinaluemmanuel Nice.. so if the presumption of innocence stands, what specific gaps in an applicants affidavit would justify a court refusing bail?

It is generally considered, but it does not guarantee the grant of bail by the Court. This is because the conditions that guide the Court's discretion are generally set out in sections 161 and 162 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act. Where the conditions are not available or not captured in the affidavit, the court may not exercise its discretion in favour of the Applicant.

Ever wondered why you see worms in mangoes & apples… but almost never in lemons? It’s not just sweetness.  It’s science. Mangoes & apples are soft and full of sugar, so insects lay eggs there and larvae grow inside.
Lemons? Too acidic, too harsh, and naturally resistant to insects. Even nature knows… Not everything should be easy to access. Stay valuable, but not too available Not too late to say GOOD MORNING

The love Vozinha is getting right now is MASSIVE. From barely 50K followers before the tournament… to over 6 MILLION after one performance. That’s what a World Cup moment can do. Cape Verde’s keeper stood in front of Spain and said “not today” big saves, big presence, no fear. And now? From unknown… to global star overnight. Football doesn’t just create heroes…it changes lives instantly. This is why we love the game ❤️🔥 #WorldCup2026

That’s a crazy pattern, no lie.… and it’s actually backed by history Argentina won the World Cup in 1978, 1986, and 2022  and in all those editions, Nigeria didn’t qualify. However, football isn’t scripted. Patterns don’t win trophies, performances do. Argentina might be strong again… but going back‑to‑back? That’s a completely different challenge. They have the likes of France, Spain, Senegal, Morocco, Portugal and others to battle with. So what are we seeing here… coincidence, or something deeper?

Delap and Jackson at Chelsea… what are we really saying here? Two strikers. Identical problem of Inconsistency & Injury Delap is young, needs games to grow.
Jackson is already involved, but still inconsistent and under pressure. Do Chelsea trust them long-term… or is a move best for their development? Because sometimes staying at a big club slows you down more than it builds you. Be honest… Should Delap leave? And should Jackson stay or move on too?
Vince™@Blue_Footy

‼️ Nicolas Jackson has a chance of staying at Chelsea because of his ability to play on the left as well as down the middle. Delap has interest from Premier League clubs. ~ @SJohnsonSport

Troy Deeney lays into Cucurella and Enzo: 🗣 "I think there is an element with Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez, you weren't playing good enough to talk, so shut up. This new generation of players, when things go well, tell me how great I am, pat me on the back and go on social media and tell you how great they are, the fans are wonderful. When they lose, it's not me, it is the manager, the owner, the board, it's all of these different things. I was here a year ago for the Club World Cup and they were absolutely loving it. Fast forward eight months and it's should have got rid of that manager. It's like come on, you were part of the problem." ~ @talkSPORT

End-to-end football, no fear, no script. 20+ shots combined Chances flying at both ends Constant momentum swings High intensity from minute 1 to 90 That’s the kind of chaos you want at a World Cup. Iran brought structure but attacked with intent, New Zealand matched them physically and mentally. There was no underdog mindset, just pure fight between the two nations. And absolutely, Football won!!. BUT… shoutout to Morocco vs Brazil , Different vibe, but elite quality of football: Brazil with flair and attacking waves Morocco showing discipline + quick counters Tactical battle with real moments of brilliance Less chaos, more class… but still top-tier football. Two different styles…One pure entertainment, one high-quality contest. Right now though, Iran vs New Zealand still top
TobyWrites@tobyasky

Can we unanimously agree this Iran v New Zealand game is the best match of the tournament so far?

From the way you held it and your message, I'm sure it has sprayed you. The chemical it sprayed you with, pederin, is more potent than cobra venom. You're holding a rove beetle, commonly called skirt and blouse in Nigeria. Let me prepare your mind for what's coming. You'll soon start noticing a reddish swelling that burns on your skin. It would look like hot water was poured on you. If you rub the affected part with other parts, it may also spread. The symptom persists for a week or more. To avoid the spreading of symptoms, wash the affected area with clean, fresh water and soap and in case of eyes rinse them with fresh water. There are antibiotics and pharmaceutical creams (topical steroids) that you can get to help with alleviate the symptoms. You can go to the hospital for this. Female rove beetles are the only ones that can manufacture pederin. Males can only store little that they got from their mother when she laid the eggs.

Good morning @arojinle1 I was bitten by this ant earlier today in a very sensitive area, and the pain has been surprisingly intense ever since. I've already tried a few common remedies, but the discomfort is still there. I've attached a picture of the ant because I don't know exactly what species it is. Could you help identify it and possibly explain why the bite is this painful? Also, what would be the best treatment or first aid for something like this? I'd really appreciate your insight.

Not everything is solved on the prayer mat. Nations don’t move forward because they pray more…
they move forward because they plan better, work harder, and build stronger systems. Take a look at the developed countries. Japan didn’t rise with prayer, they rose with discipline and efficiency.
Singapore went from third world to first world through structure and leadership.
South Korea invested in education, industry, and long-term vision. Meanwhile, countries that rely only on hope without systems? They stay stuck. Prayer isn’t the problem… but without structure, accountability, and leadership, nothing changes. Faith can guide people. But progress is built with systems. And you know where our problem lies in Nigeria…
Mo-mudi 🇳🇬 🇺🇸@moemudi01

No African country prays like Nigerians. We believe we have strongest juju, including witchcraft. Mallams , pastors, prophets, cultists, witches, wizards- we have them all. yet we are not moving forward as a nation.

Group H is already shaping up to be a proper battle Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Cape Verde… different styles, same ambition — and plenty to prove. Spain came in as one of the favorites, with one of the best squads in the tournament. All eyes on Lamine Yamal, The talent, the creativity, the future of this team. Who only manage came on for the last 20 minutes of the game. Spain is expected to control games and dominate… but it hasn’t been that simple. Cape Verde, playing in their first World Cup, showed zero fear. They frustrated Spain for long spells, and their keeper Vozinha put in a huge performance. The kind that keeps underdog dreams alive Saudi Arabia stayed true to their approach, Very compact, disciplined, and difficult to break down. They’re not just here to compete… they want to qualify, especially with the long-term vision of hosting the 2034 World Cup. Every point matters. And then Uruguay… a mix of experience and firepower. From Valverde’s engine to Núñez and Vinas threat. Combine with the defensive solidity they’re known for — they never make it easy for anyone. Spain have the talent.
Uruguay have the firepower.
Saudi have the structure.
Cape Verde have the belief. Different styles. Same pressure.
This group is tighter than it looks. Do you trust Spain to deliver, or is there a shock coming in Group H?

Group G is already looking like the most unpredictable group in the World Cup New Zealand, Iran, Belgium and Egypt… all played out draws in their opening matches and there is nothing to separate them. Belgium came in with the biggest reputation and World Cup pedigree but couldn’t pull away. Iran once again showed their trademark discipline, good football play and they don’t lose easily at this stage. Egypt brought tournament experience and defensive steel, just like their AFCON runs here they finished 4th placed. And New Zealand… quietly reminding everyone they’ve never lost a World Cup game in normal time (2010). That’s weird, right? History says the big names usually rise, but groups like this are always decided by the smallest margins. Right now, it’s wide open.
Belgium have the quality.
Iran & Egypt have the structure.
New Zealand have the belief. 4 teams. Same points. Same story.
This one won’t be about hype… it’ll be about who makes the least mistakes. Who do YOU have qualifying from Group G? 👇
