Labor union agreements thwart President Trump's return to work order, prompting the administration to issue new directive, saying: "Supervisors should not begin discussions around the return to in-person work with bargaining unit employees until HHS fulfills its collective bargaining obligations."

This suit from 2023 alleges that BB misclassifies Cafe Leaders as exempt employees, and as a result did not pay them OT, and “did not receive legally compliant meal and rest breaks, and were not paid at their regular rate for their sick time”

Blue Bottle has been involved in multiple wage theft law suits! No wonder why so many of their workers struggle to make ends meet. This one from 2020 alleged Blue Bottle forced workers to work through breaks and didn’t provide accurate pay statements

Nestlé has fired union organizers, banned union representatives from engaging with workers, and is trying to impose unsafe working conditions

Nestlé has also impoverished coffee farmers in Chiapas through their Nescafé scheme — pushing farmers to grow robusta coffee but not paying enough to even cover the costs of growing the coffee!

They also use child slavery for cacao farming to capture the chocolate market. That's just some of the stuff they've done to build thier monopoly. Fuck Nestlé.

Since we’ve unionized though, Nestlé has:
— hired the second largest union-busting firm in the U.S. to represent Blue Bottle
— fired one of our organizers
— and is now closing their highest grossing location for unnecessary renovations

For anyone unaware, Blue Bottle is wholly owned by Nestlé. Nestlé’s push for growth is the reason why we’re constantly overworked, understaffed, and underpaid.
We deserve better, and are taking on Nestlé by fighting for a living wage!!
