@BCBSTX yeah there is My doctor prescribed a medication that BCBS is denying coverage for. He's jumped through all the hoops that you put in front of him & prime therapeutics keeps denying it. When I call BCBS customer service there's nothing they can do that's what I get told.

@BCBSTX I'm not sure how to do a DM, I thought going straight to your profile and sending a message from that is called a direct message? Can you explain the steps for that if it's not what I thought.

I'm tired of @BCBSTX denying my medication the doctor wants me on because of their back door denial claiming that prime therapeutics takes care of that, either Blue Cross needs to drop prime therapeutics or people need to consider a lawsuit. Anybody else having this issue?

@BCBSTX part 3 I am currently in my dr’s office where we are both in tears because my infusion costs of $35k are now impossible for me to afford. I PAY for insurance and still can’t get the coverage I need. Do better.

Last week I randomly got a $9,000 bill for a hospital visit from last year. I called them up and they said my insurance decided not to cover it. Why? Because. .@Aetna can just decide they’re not interested in covering something and then you’re left with an inflated bill to pay out of pocket after the fact. This is in addition to a $2,000 bill that I already paid. They just don’t want to cover it despite me paying a monthly premium. Meanwhile illegals get free healthcare. Honestly fuck you @Aetna. I’m gonna do everything I can to destroy you.

It's been 7 months since we had our baby and we're still receiving unexplained hospital bills in the mail. Hardly ever an adequate description of services. Just a QR code to pay online. It feels intentionally confusing and difficult to get answers. We want price transparency.

Dear jackholes at @BCBSTX. Your game playing is dangerous. I wanted a prescription filled a little early, so I didn't run out of it while out of town. You wouldn't cover it,since it was too early. Please check your idiotic policies. This isn't a drug that is abused. #dangerous

If you are considering health insurance and BlueCross BlueShield of Texas is on your list, cross it out l. It's useless. They have denied pretty much all the meds and treatments my actual doctors say I need... @BCBSTX

People don't realize how insidious these insurance companies are. I had coverage with @BCBSTX and was on autopay. Not only did they hit my checking for double payments each month, when I changed coverage to a different company at the end of the policy period they told all my providers my insurance was retroactively canceled back to 2024, and they clawed back all the payments they had made to my doctors telling them I had no insurance. Mind you, they have kept the $50k in premiums they charged me, and told the feds I had BCBSTX ins. all through 2024 and 2025. I have tons of bills from angry doctors and when I wrote to BCBS they sent a form letter saying it was too late to appeal their denial. Note these were all claims that were approved and paid by them already. As soon as they found out I was changing they retroactively canceled my coverage going back 2 years which is simply not legal. But as you said in an earlier post they gamble that people won't fight back, and they erect insurmountable administrative barriers to prevent patients from suing or having access to any remedies. Its a very sophisticated form of theft and should be put to an end.

The same companies you say are denying claims, are the ones you prop up buying access to formularies. Tell your members to stop being afraid of the PBMs and the insurance companies that own them, or they own. Your members selling to distribution at WAC and making up categories of Class of Trade to protect PBMs , is costing patients billions per year. Making your medicines unaffordable to many. I get that the PBMs can crush your sales with formulary manipulation, but if you truly care about patients , it’s time for you to stand up to them. Go to the DOJ and the FTC, tell them how it works. Or maybe you want to be able to use rebates to buy market share and let patients die or get sicker because they can’t afford to pay list price. The industry is broken. Stand up to it
PhRMA@PhRMA

On the Hill this week, we heard how insurers are standing between patients and care. New data shows 70% of patients are initially denied coverage for a prescribed medicine, delaying or preventing treatment. Patients should not face red tape. It is time to put them first. phrma.org/blog/briefing-…

@BCBSTX @bcbstx our PCP who works at TexasHealth in Dallas, has told me that if I call that I will be able to change our policy from blue advantage hmo to my blue health. What do I need to do to talk to someone who actually works for @BCBSTX to accomplish this.
