@slimegirlmarx2 Cigna's phone system is a digital backrooms. it doesn't have a main menu of options to select from, you just say what you want and it routes you wherever It feels you should be. over weeks of calls I kept finding myself in new and unexpected menus.

I’ve had many of you come here and tell me me you can help me. It’s been MONTHS and not one of you helped me get approved. My physician has done everything! Like I said…instead of helping me sustain this, you would rather me give up and die. I work full time still just to make my premiums and make sure I have insurance. Why I ask myself? when my insurance carrier does not care about my future and well being.

@cigna has denied my Hematologist’s request for me to start on IVIG, stating they want my markers lower…meaning they want me in my bed dying. I wonder if it was their family member they would deny treatment. My Cancer is incurable but sustainable with the correct treatment…Cigna wants me dead…obviously. I’m sorry about your friend, hopefully the MRI and treatment they need will happen.🙏🏼

Insurance denied my friend’s MRI last month. Doctor ordered it. Said it was medically necessary. Insurance said they needed more documentation. Doctor sent more documentation. Insurance said they needed a peer to peer review. Peer to peer happened. Insurance denied it again. My friend paid $2,400 out of pocket. The person who denied it was not a doctor. Was not reviewed by a doctor. Was an algorithm trained to find reasons to say no. This is legal. This is standard practice. This happens 50,000 times a day in America.

On 10/1/2025, my PCP at St. Luke’s Meridian gave me two options for 5 foot X-rays: 1️⃣ At the PCP office (same building). 2️⃣ At the hospital building across the street. Because my insurance with Cigna covers 100% of X-rays performed at my PCP’s office, I chose option #1.

I agree wholeheartedly! My carrier is Cigna. When you are reviewing your insurance options you can enter your prescriptions to see if they are covered. They say they are but when you try to fill them it's either your need a prior authorization or they want you to use another brand and prove it doesn't work before they will let you have the brand they said was approved.

I have been on Medicare PPO with Humana for eight days and I HATE the company. Worst system I have ever seen. Let me explain, I have pancrogenic failure. Documented. One medicine works to treat it. One. So they know the issue, they approve Creon which are the digestive enzymes. Then they refuse to pay for the organ failure meds. Say is "not covered." Let me explain, they could not possibly have reviewed my medical record before denying it. It was denied in 30 minutes because its expensive. I will DIE without it. What kind of KOOK insurance company pays for digestive enzymes CREON and not the med to save the organ. My problem is not that I don't make insulin, the problem is my insulin production looks like an EKG, meaning it will drop to 50 and rebound to 300 not eating anything all in one hour. Yes I know, Humana does not cover that organ failure med. It's time we do something to address Medicare coverage. And by the way, no elderly person could work their website. It is the most user unfriendly run around I have ever seen. @Humana 😥😡🙄
