Letting Bednar go without a plan in place would be beyond stupid.

During the cup run, the Avs never faced potential elimination. In the Bednar era the Avs have not won a single playoffs series where they have faced elimination. They’ve extended some series but never come through to win.

Down 3-0, a lot has gone wrong, but the reality is the Avs have had inferior goaltending in all three games. I would have gone Blackwood in G3 and would bet we see him in G4. If Avs want to extend season, they need a big goaltending effort.

Not sure you can move on from Nelson since 2C is really hard to get with the none assets the Avs have, maybe EP40 for Nelson and Brindley or something crazy but Val and Colton have to go. Need a legit scorer for that 2nd line and someone to step up for Necas ghosting.

As disappointing as it is that the Avs are likely only gonna get one cup out of 29 and 8, at least we know the Oilers aren’t gonna win a cup with a generational player and will lose him when they get bounced in the first round by the Ducks again next year

@AvsRobin I don’t think all the people calling for Bednar’s head realise that they’re probably not going to fire him. Most everybody is signed for next year, and Idk if management would actually fire him, and if not, idk if Kroenkes would actually intervene to force a firing.
