Kid gets sub/unsub loans for half ($15k), pays the $15k remaining via work/stud and out of pocket. Sticker was $35k. Responsible for $30k. Paid $15k. Financed $15k for 20yrs so paid $25k. Total 40k

No. loans don’t raise the price, they just finance it. Most students are paying a discounted net price below sticker, not above it. If you meant in a case where a student entirely financed their education so their price ends up being higher than sticker price via principal + interest, that’s still unlikely. A dependent student cannot personally borrow hundreds of thousands in standard federal student loans alone.

The alternative is need based aid from the school itself (not Pell, which is small). Most Private schools already give enormous discounts (dressed up as merit based awards) and the parents are wealthy enough to pay the difference. So in the end, private school debt is on average less than public school debt. There is, however, a small number of private schools that don’t do this and only admit students based on merit and only give need based aid.

@davehelman_ 49ers fans have experienced big NFCC wins and frontrunning years but no ultimate 🏆 since before the Cowboys. Vikings and Commanders on a smaller scale. I get the NFCC appearance stat but ultimately want to win all. A lot of examples in NBA (Kings, Grizz, Suns, KD Nets, Knicks)
