@gkwadd78 @agrobaz The air horn to truck ratio is in line with the bulldog to international ratio. It’s in a league of its own. This could be the lead truck for bumper Farrell next flood run

@Malcolm_Bart I think you’re confused between us futures and the world wheat market. Anyway, good luck

@BDoubleTrucker Your view but for those who trade ASX wht or use A$ swaps it’s a pretty good barometer. Not many farmers in Australia sell their wheat in US$.

CBOT May wht down A$4.15/t & Dec down A$4.23 as higher A$ vs US$ wipes out small gain in futures. Russia has capped April June grain exports at 7 mill t. This allowed US & EU wht futures to make small gains. Corn under pressure from falling ethanol use & lower crude oil.

@Malcolm_Bart Daily quoting of the aud value of cbot is one of the most valueless pieces of analysis I have ever seen. Anyway, all the best

@BDoubleTrucker Once a day may be less than ideal but it is a snapshot of the value when US mkts close each day. Gives a consistent day to day move. The Aust mkt reacts to the A$ value of CBOT, thus relevant. The A$ value is also more representative of wht price in other countries outside the US

@GoddessofGrain Same in Aus. Rates have been only just sustainable for the past 12months for bulk grains etc. and been about the only time for the past 4 years it has been and fuel was at its most expensive.

If you say something to your trucker about rates getting cheaper because of fuel costs, you're an extreme butthole just don't

@mullewa_man @WAFarmersGrains Why you would look at us futures in a macro f*ck out environ I would never know. Sure aud is falling, go chart the Ruble and the Hryvnia, better use of time than us futures. If you think we are getting more competitive relative world wheat market out the curve, you are flat wrong

@WAFarmersGrains Over the last week CBOT futures (blue line) have stabilised but the AUD (black line) has fallen sharply. It can change pretty quick but the story for now is the world doesn't need our iron ore but it still needs our grain. Its a good time to be an Aussie farmer (assuming 🌧️).

Grain prices seem to be holding firm at the moment; any industry commentators care to explain what is behind this relative strength in grains?

@MarketCheck1 @mullewa_man @WAFarmersGrains I’m troubled by this. Can you wrap the actual numbers around it? Exports to date, exportable surplus and export assumption for feb March April. By my numbers you have 260 k left to export post April. Over 5 months of crop year and zero exports oct nov...

@mullewa_man @WAFarmersGrains In other words, by the end of April, WA will have exported ~95% of its exportable surplus...by far a record vs previous seasons and explains why its rallying vs offshore and EC...

IKON have gone 🎾 🏀 🎱 to the wall with that prediction this far out Trying to influence the market? East coast will be wall to wall cereals but I reckon barley will be the safe bet for a lot of blokes in NSW this season who have been missing out Just my opinion🤷‍♂️ @WheatWatcher

@GrainGrowersLtd @D_LittleproudMP @HoskingBrett @D_LittleproudMP we are still waiting for comment on the wheat imports you unnecessarily and detrimentally allowed on the eve of the last federal election! Since this time, australia has exported 7 or 8 mmt of wheat, while you allowed 1 COMPANY to import abt 500 k
