I genuinely don't understand people like Bezos and Musk. If I had billions of dollars, I would just start fixing everything. Homeless veterans sleeping on the streets? Not on my watch. Hungry children going to bed with empty stomachs? Hell no. They could be making life better but instead choose to build spaceships and data centers to pump stocks and destroy the planet

After watching 'Trainwreck: #Woodstock '99' on @netflix, I really wish I had gone to that festival. What a wild time! I am also humored by the focus of all the trash in '99, vs. '69, as though single-use plastics/materials were as prominent in the '60s as the '99 event.

I understand where you're coming from, but only 25% of the cast are genuinely challengers. And we all know that they/you will be THE only targets until you're eliminated. No one likes seasons with one massive group simply eliminating a minority group. There is no drama, excitement, or fun in that. Especially when much of the massive group is new people that we don't know. A lot of people stopped watching pretty early last season, and that's probably what will happen again this season. There's nothing wrong with bringing in new blood, but (old) fans connect with the realness of rookies, and most of the rookies brought in during recent years are more surface-level, influencer types.

PSA: To the fans, tea accounts, and spoiler pages: If your first reaction to every Challenge season is to tear it down based on rumors, a trailer, or a cast list… You’re not supporting the show. You’re rooting against the people keeping it alive. We put it all on the line to make this franchise. Watch it first, then have an opinion.#TheChallengeCutthroat

The show has lost a LOT of its long-time fan base - centralizing Johnny is a smart way to entice them to watch the new season - a lot of people stopped watching early last season (as the people they root for went home). Johnny will most certainly be one of the first ones gone though.

They pay him a buttload just to show up, knowing full well he's going to get thrown out as soon as all the rookies can make it happen. But having him there for the start of the season means that long-time fans are more likely to start the season - and at least some will keep watching after he leaves.

A tip is a voluntary thing, that diners leave based on the service that they received. If a business wants to be sure their servers make a certain amount, regardless of customer service, it is the business' place to pay that wage. I waited at several places in my late teens and early 20s. Some diners were definitely not very generous (some left nothing), but there are also a ton of great diners who are fair. Some days would be slower than others, and all of us dreaded those days (we didn't make as much in tips), but those are offset by the busy days. A great server can make or break someone's experience. Some of those who feel like the server was wonderful leave a massive tip. A man left a $100 on the table once - his order/bill was about $5 total (personal pan and a drink).... As soon as I saw it, I rushed out to his car in the parking lot, to point out his mistake (as there is no way he would mean to leave that much).... But he was one of those people who go above and beyond to help you improve your life. The bill was intended, and that excess $95-ish was mine. That man made a huge difference in my life at that time (was attending a university and struggling a bit). A lot of people leave more when they can, but a business shouldn't force people to pay a specific amount - that's just a reallocation of funds (bypassing the employer in the payroll chain).. That is not what a 'tip' is.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm getting tired of being asked to tip before I've even received any service. More and more restaurants are putting tip suggestions front and center before the meal even starts. I've seen places suggest turning a $120 dinner into $144 before a server has taken an order, refilled a drink, or brought out the food. Then, if you question it, you're hit with: **"If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out."** But that's not really the issue. Most people aren't against servers. Most people believe workers deserve to be paid fairly. What frustrates people is the growing expectation that customers should be responsible for making up the difference between what employees earn and what they need to live. Shouldn't businesses be responsible for paying their employees rather than relying on customers to subsidize payroll every time they sit down for a meal?

@EshaAA33 He's created a ton of jobs through his ventures, and he doesn't have that sort of money on hand. Like most people, his wealth is based on current value of his investments/assets. He gives more than most people to good causes, and also has paid the most tax in US history. 🤷‍♀️

Others are defending him, pointing out that security personnel are generally not allowed to record videos or take photos while on duty.
