We subscribed to our local paper for Christmas and I think everyone should do it.
Today I sat in a chair and read an article about our school board for 20 minutes.
Being able to choose what you read without algorithmic assistance lowers your cortisol levels.

They'd start writing this afternoon! A 300-person newsroom would cost about $80 million a year (running a little lean). Just saying. I hear there are some billionaires out there looking for places to invest.
