@BFCSomalia had a meeting on FMS formalization, district names and numbers validation and national geospatial data collection with Delegates from Hishabelle State led by Hirshabelle Minister of MOIFLG H.E Abdi Dahir. The meeting adjourned by BFC deputy chair H.E Mohamed Osman.

Today, @BFCSomalia Chair HE. Abukar Sh. and his delegates had a meeting with Puntland State Deputy President HE. Mr. Ahmed Elmi. BFC delivered reports on upcoming national conference on national district validation, FMS formalization and PL&GM boundary delimitation process. END.

Baidoa, SWS Tran. Capital; @BFCSomalia had a consultative meeting on FMS Formalization and Districts names/numbers validation issues with SWS Parliament and Ministries. BFC Deputy Chair H.E Mohammed Osman Abdullahi adressed topics covered while in the meeting.

Today, @BFCSomalia had a meeting with the SWS Minister of Interior, Local Governments and Reconciliation, Mr. Abdullahi Haji Hassan. And received report on FMS Formalization, which the Commission will soon present to the FGS Parliament. END.

Members from @BFCSomalia attended a five day seminar on Conflict Mapping, Conflict Analysis and Planning for peacebuilding in Somalia held by @UNDPSomalia. Guests from FMSes, BRA and FGS institutions are also part of the seminar.

The Minister, H.E Ahmed Moalim Fiqi welcomed BFC role on boundaries + Federalism and made a wish to have hand of cooperation with them. Finally, Both @BFCSomalia and @MoIFARSomalia underlined to make sense of close cooperation in terms of Formalizations and Delimitations. ###

@BFCSomalia MEETS WITH THE MINISTER OF @MoIFARSomalia BFC chairperson and his delegates explained the minister the ongoing activities on boundary delimitation b/w Federal Member States, the formalization of FMS & the validation of Geospatial data of Somalia.

@BFCSomalia MEETS WITH THE AUDITOR GENERAL @oagsomalia H. E @mafgoi The meeting was based on Introduction and cooperation strengthening between the newly elected leaders of BFC and The Auditor General of the FGS.

Finally, the AG H.E Mr Mohamed Mohamud Ali (Afgoi) praised BFC commitment, promised to have hand of help, and ecouraged to make links and contact with the counterpart institutions in the African countries and the world for experience exchanging and getting advices. END

The Chairmanship explained BFC's performance on the federalization, delimitation and demarcation activities, and requested to get hand on accounting, financial mgt, personel mgt and to improve the cooperation b/w the two institutions.

The meeting was based on the compilation of BFC legality that yet not passed to the upper house. The Speaker pointed that he have desire and readiness to complete the BFC legality. END

BFC MEETS WITH THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF THE PEOPLE _ FGS Wednesday, July 20, 2022; Members from BFC - including the chairperson, his deputy and the Secretary General - had a meeting with the speaker of the Parliament H.E Mr. Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe).

JUST IN: Boundaries and Federalism Commission elected Abukar Sheikh Abdi Ibrahim as the new Chairman of @BFCSomalia, the Commission also elected deputy chair and secretary general, Mohamed Osman Abdullahi and Zekeriye Said Osman respectively.
