@saintlouispres You take 1% from my checks and my roads are 3rd world. Thank you for making dislike you and your cronies as you pass out tax dollars to your special pet projects with zero data to back them up.

With one meeting left in the legislative session, I thought it would be prudent to give you all an update one what we’ve accomplished this year and what we plan to accomplish moving forward. 🎥

Protest @ Chris’ Pancake House. Protesters boycotting Chris Saracino’s restaurant because he’s President of SLMPD Police Board @kmoxnews

@MitchellMcCoy I agree with the curfew and hope you make it permanent. However, showing most came from the county is not relevant. Most county homicides involve city suspects.
English

During 10pm curfew enforcement, 23 juveniles were detained. Of those, 17 were from the county and 6 from the city. One parent refused to pick up their child. Prior to curfew, 3 juveniles (two 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old) were cited for failure to comply/interfering. #SLMPD

@saintlouispres @ksdknews @KMOV of all the ridiculousness this resolution presents, supporting SLMPD &“leadership”do not go hand &hand. The progressives always find a way 2 get $ for their frivolous handouts except when it comes to police. Megan Green is what is wrong with STL

@RealRobReinhart This is the same reporter who said Schertz was under investigation by the SLU board for serving drinks at Humphreys after the Dayton game. Yet nobody reported it and or talked about it.
English

#BREAKING: St. Louis University received a significant NIL donation from Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser that enabled them to retain head coach Josh Schertz, per source.
I’m told Schertz was close to accepting an offer from Kansas State before SLU stepped in with a more lucrative offer.

@saintlouispres You keep taxing us. Yet you can’t and don’t provide adequate services.
English

If taking total control of SLMPD wasn't enough, now Missouri Republicans want the City to direct more than 25% of our general fund toward policing at the expense of other crucial services that residents rely on.
In today's issue of Deep Dive, I take a look at how state lawmakers are taking local decision-making away from St. Louis residents and talk through how we can fight back.

If the City is forced to approve the state-appointed Board of Police Commissioners' funding request—which exceeds the City's obligation by nearly $50 million—that could mean cutting things like crime prevention efforts by the Office of Violence Prevention.
Launched in 2023, the OVP is delivering results. Neighborhoods targeted for intervention have seen crime decrease even faster than the citywide average.
Making our city safer means enacting policies that reduce poverty and stopping crime before it happens to keep residents and officers safe.

@saintlouispres You are in an echo chamber with yourself. The only ones who hear you are the radical activists. The rest of us want you to step aside and leave us alone so we can rebuild what you and other progressives have destroyed.
English

As if stripping E&A of our budget authority wasn't enough, Republicans continue to erode the transparency we've fought so hard to build.
This is exactly why I am challenging state control in court. Overreach doesn’t make St. Louis safer—it holds us back.

@saintlouispres The Bosnianas settled in the 90’s in Dutchtown and Bevo. Thank God they did or the southside would be gone. But they left and went to the county because they too were sick of progressive ideologies that tore our city apart. You are the problem. Bring on legal immigrants.
English

The United States is a melting pot—a country shaped by generations of immigrants from every corner of the world. Diversity is our strength.
To highlight that history, I used the latest issue of Deep Dive to dispel common myths about immigration and walk through a brief history of the cultures that helped form St. Louis.

I’ve been saying it for over a year now: state takeover of our police department is and will continue to be catastrophic for St. Louis.
The City’s budget is already tight, and the Board of Police Commissioners’ proposed funding for SLMPD goes beyond our legal obligations. Approving it would mean significantly less money for tornado recovery, City worker salaries, our aging infrastructure, and alternative crime reduction strategies that we know work.
As President of the Board and a member of the Board of E&A, I’ll vote NO on any budget proposal beyond the maximum required, and I stand by my decision to fight for local control in the courts.

@CharlieMarlow_ I don’t disagree with any of what you said. However, I think this means Oli is more of Bill’s guy.
English

Thoughts on the Oli Marmol extension:
I’m fine with it. Based on these trades the Cardinals aren’t realistically trying to win until around 2028 so let Oli continue to steward this rebuild & see how things play out.
The optics of this extension are MUCH better than his 2024 extension coming off a very bad 2023.
If the previous thought was Oli is Mo’s guy, he’s clearly now Chaim’s guy also.
If you’re gonna trust Chaim with the rebuild then you gotta trust that he thinks Oli is the man for the job.

@Beganovic2026 Great…turning the city employees against the city police. Let’s start with cost cutting… let’s take the 50% raise all the alderman gave themselves and cut their staffers considering they do the same amount of work they did with 28 wards. Let’s start there.
English

@MarkMaxwellTV Think you are missing the point. The PD requests maintenance of their building and services are rendered by city employee yet the PD is charged by City hall. PD provides security for city hall and eats the service.
English

@saintlouispres In the TV show The Office there is an episode where Ryan takes his boss Michael Scott to his business class for a case study. However Michael has no clue it is to tell the students what not to do in business. I bet it was along those terms.
English

Yesterday, students from WashU’s Civic Action Lab visited City Hall to hear about the building, learn about local government, and to speak with some aldermen and staff.
It’s always a pleasure to get back to my roots and teach the next generation of leaders why local government is so important. Engaging young St. Louisans is crucial to our success as a city.
We hope to see you back here soon—whether it's as a visitor or an elected official!

@Beganovic2026 Right, wrong, indifferent…why do you need to display a BLM or trans flag at a soccer game? Can one bring a MAGA flag in your stadium, Denis?
