But BIM Surfer cannot do CSG (triangle calculation) so that needs to come from IfcOpenShell, BIMserver or some other source. Streaming binaire from @bimserver is indeed an option (that is very fast).

During design of .rvt -> .ifc conversion service for customer, found an article on large .ifc model sizes. Wondering if same problems exist with apps not opening .ifc more than 500mb e.g Revit? bimserver.org/2014/11/18/som… @bimserver @AutodeskRevit

@JacobDAlbora of course later that is possible (we publish the code under open source). But at this moment we are doing internal testing.

@BIMsurfer would we be able to test our own data set in the viewer? I have some large data sets

Thanks for alle the responses! Just to give some more context: our current biggest dataset has 180 aspect models, with a total of >8Gb of (step) data and over a million objects.
