Just had an awful experience buying a car. Seems like standards are slipping everywhere at the moment. Do you lot feel the same or am I getting old / that world doesn't exist anymore.

Today I wrote to Shelly Kipling, the Chief Executive of Oldham Council, seeking clarification about the collapse of the building at 31 King Street. As well as writing to the Chief Executive, I copied in the council leader, leaders of opposition parties and the borough solicitor. Cllr Ghafoor was one of those contacted. This was a serious incident in the centre of our town. Five people were injured and it is nothing short of a miracle that no one was killed. My questions are simple and in the public interest: - What did the council know about the condition of the building before the collapse? - Were any inspections or enforcement actions taken - When was building control notified about the works? - What conflict-of-interest safeguards were in place given the owner is a serving councillor? - Has the incident been formally reported to the Health and Safety Executive? These are not unreasonable questions. They are the basic questions any responsible authority should be able to answer when a building collapses in a busy town centre. The people of Oldham deserve transparency and accountability. Instead of responding to my reasonable request, I have been contacted by a senior source within @OldhamCouncil who has informed me that my email to the council has been blocked and that senior leaders within the local authority are desperately attempting to avoid scrutiny. There will be an Emergency Transmission later this evening where I will share the email I sent them and the email addresses of everyone I attempted to contact. Perhaps others may also be sufficiently alarmed by what took place and contact Ms Kipling. Remember, this is a council that has been exposed for its role in the cover up of the gang rape and trafficking of children. Under such circumstances, I would not put anything past them. Would you?

Isn't it fascinating how fast the machinery of government can move when it is protecting itself. Chocking off the legitimate funding of his political opponent? Instant. It can happen in weeks. When it comes to stopping the boats, or deporting illegal migrants, or ensuring violent criminals are in jail... oh that takes years... YEARS according to the Uniparty. When it comes to justice for the rape gang survivors, that takes DECADES according to the Uniparty. Well here is my message to you: I promise you when Reform is in power we will move at the speed of light to secure our borders and ensure all those involved in the rape gangs and their cover up face the heaviest possible price for their crimes.”
