2/ The Stroke Hero Awards Equity Hero is Dr. William “BJ” Hicks. In addition to treating stroke survivors as a vascular neurologist, Dr. Hicks advocates for policies that reduce health disparities. He also led efforts to create a mobile stroke treatment unit in Central Ohio.
