BREAKING: According to local sources, Yesterday (Friday) troops established a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Sayaya, Matazu LGA of Katsina State, in a move aimed at restoring security to a community abandoned by residents over persistent bandit threats. Foreign ISIS Arab Terrorists Arrested as Troops Intensify Offensive following fails attack in Borno By Zagazola Makama Military operations across Nigeria’s North East have entered a new phase following the failed attempt by Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters to infiltrate Cross Kauwa in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, with troops recording what security sources describe as a significant intelligence breakthrough through the arrest of a suspected foreign ISIS operative. The development comes after troops of Operation HADIN KAI successfully repelled a coordinated terrorist attack on Cross Kauwa, forcing the insurgents to abandon equipment and retreat under sustained military pressure. Security sources told Zagazola Makama that troops immediately commenced aggressive exploitation operations after securing the area, extending search and pursuit missions along identified withdrawal routes used by the fleeing terrorists. During the exploitation exercise conducted on Monday, troops recovered additional operational materials believed to have been abandoned during the insurgents’ hasty withdrawal. The recovery of the recording device reportedly provided investigators with valuable visual intelligence, leading to the identification of the foreign suspect.
