In the future, SpaceX is going to take me anywhere on Earth in ~30 minutes and yeah, to the Moon too. Instead of cramming into a plane seat for hours, dealing with delays and jet lag, I’ll just be hopping on a Starship rocket… you blast off, make a quick hop through space, and touch down fresh on the other side of the planet. SpaceX lays it out pretty clearly: most long trips around the world will take 30 minutes or less. New York to Paris, half an hour instead of seven-plus hours in the air. LA to New York in about 25 minutes. Sydney to Singapore in 31. And the same Starship is what’s going to get us back to the Moon. Deliveries of the first 50 units begin in 2026, with the full fleet operational by end of 2027. Over 300 trucks will operate under a joint program with the Port of Oakland, supported by new Megawatt Charging System stations in Oakland, Fresno, Stockton, and Sacramento. This was announced at the ACT Expo in Las Vegas.
