Howard was hit multiple times in the arm, torso, head and later died at the hospital. The Millers were arrested for murder and initially posted a shockingly low $25k bond before a viral video led to a re-arrest and a higher bond. By 2019, they were out again without issues. At the 2023 trial, Johnnie was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 14 years (eligible for parole after 7), while Michael was acquitted.
