Yes, Jesus took on human nature, but that doesn’t give us permission to fill in what Scripture doesn’t reveal. The issue isn’t just whether Jesus is relatable. The issue is how He’s being represented. Once you start adding dialogue, personality traits, and interactions that aren’t in the text, you’re no longer showing who He is, you’re showing an interpretation. And that’s exactly the problem, people don’t separate the two. They walk away remembering a version of Jesus shaped by writers, not by Scripture. Saying “all media strays” doesn’t justify it either. If anything, that should make us more cautious, not more comfortable with it.

@robbystarbuck @leonardaisfunE No, Synagogues, Mosques and Holy Sites are still open but only to groups of 50 or less, even the most restrictive areas still allow officials. Pizzaballa's group had 4, counting himself. There was zero reason to block him, other than because of their hatred of Christ.

My gut reaction when I heard that Israel blocked Cardinal Pizzaballa from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was that it’s wrong to block him, BUT, I totally understand why they did. Iran would love to kill a man who was almost Pope on Palm Sunday & destroy a holy Christian site. They need to quickly find a way to secure these sites as top priorities so everyone can worship safely but I don’t think Israel should be hit too hard for trying to prevent a terror attack. Both sides (Israel and Pizzaballa) have good reasons for how they feel here.

JUST IN: Israel says they are coming up with a “plan” to allow church leaders to worship at the holy site “in the coming days” after Cardinal Pizzaballa was blocked from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Palm Sunday. Netanyahu’s office has released the following statement: “Over the past several days, Iran has repeatedly targeted the holy sites of all three monotheistic religions in Jerusalem with ballistic missiles. In one strike, missile fragments crashed meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. As a result, Israel has temporarily asked worshippers from all faiths not to worship at the holy sites in Jerusalem's Old City to protect them. Today, out of special concern for his safety, Jerusalem police prevented the Latin Patriarch Cardinal Pizzaballa from holding mass this morning at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Again, there was no malicious intent whatsoever, only concern for his safety and that of his party. To protect worshippers, Israel asked members of all faiths to temporarily abstain from worshipping at the Christian, Muslim and Jewish holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City. Even though I understand this concern, as soon as I learned about the incident with Cardinal Pizzaballa, I instructed the authorities to enable the Patriarch to hold services as he wishes.
