@DoorDash you guys really threw away me, a driver that had a 5 star rating for months and 18,000 deliveries under his belt because @checkr said he had a couple of tickets from 3+ years ago??? That’s at least 3 background checks later where this was never an issue!!!

Dune and Bond. These are things HE loved since he was a kid. I understand the frustration of not having original films from a creative, but HE LOVED IT. Let’s not be bummed out cause IP is a scary phrase. It CAN be but it shouldn’t be.

Good for Denis Villeneuve but also it’s super depressing to me that one of our greatest living “big original movie” directors has been in IP land for a full decade and doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of giving us a new Sicario or Prisoners anytime soon…

This movie is low key insane. There’s a whole subplot where the ghost uncles are trying to kill a drunk Bill Pullman so they can keep hanging out, which leads to Casper having to sacrifice his once chance at being alive again

Superbad is only hailed that way in the U.S. International audiences hated Superbad. Booksmart (2019) was the closest to that (also starred Jonah Hill’s younger sister). Unless if you’re looking for “mess value” probably just HBO’s Euphoria.

the sad truth is that no movie that’s been hailed the superbad for the new generation has been brave enough to depict teenagers as awful and as messy as they really are. superbad resonated because we saw ourselves and our peers in those characters. movies nowadays are too nice!!
