@BallParkBuzz Ah yes, the team that’s been fighting to keep their head above water for the last few years with the most promising young infield ITL of Durbin, Mayer, and Arias is going to trade for a 32 year old & AAV shortstop. Its fans like you, Micah, that make Red Sox twitter a joke.
English

It’s not often a team has a chance to acquire a future member of Cooperstown. But the Red Sox have an opportunity to do just that. Francisco Lindor would change the trajectory of this organization.

@EcheConLeche @JoePompliano Was thinking the same thing. Why would his Dad let this happen 💀

Fernando Tatis Jr. has lost his lawsuit against Big League Advance.
Tatis was paid $2 million as a minor leaguer in exchange for 10% of his future earnings.
This was not a loan.
If Tatis didn't make it to the big leagues, he didn't have to repay the $2 million.
But Tatis did make it to the big leagues and later signed a 14-year, $340 million contract.
That meant Tatis owed Big League Advance $34 million.
Tatis had publicly praised Big League Advance, saying the $2 million allowed him to hire a personal trainer, upgrade his apartment, and eat better food.
But after realizing he owed $34 million in exchange for $2 million, Tatis sued the company, alleging that they used predatory tactics to lure him into an investment deal that was really an illegal loan.
The judge disagreed.
The agreement was upheld this week and Tatis was even ordered to pay Big League Advance’s legal fees.
This is a big deal because Big League Advance has signed deals with 700+ athletes, including Elly De La Cruz (MLB) and Nolan Smith (NFL), across MLB, NFL, and college sports (think: NIL).
And now that the courts have ordered Fernando Tatis Jr. to follow through on the agreement, other potential legal challenges will likely go the same way.

@BOSSportsGordo Nice one Gordo. If you actually followed the team you’d know it’s typically the opposite but you love the negative headlines for engagement. Oh, and David Hamilton is still ass he’s just in Milwaukee.
English

The front office believed in David Hamilton despite trading him to the Brewers. When he returned to Fenway in April and played well, the FO began to question the coaching staff’s developmental process with young guys:
"Why do a lot of players go to other places and get better? Why do other guys come here and get worse?"

@ColeyMick You’re a miserable fuck. This team doesn’t need the buddy-buddy vibes manager, they need someone who can put a game plan in and adjust after the first game of a series.
English

@SteveMaurano @tylermilliken_ @ChrisCotillo Rivera shoved last night. And he’s a reliever. What are you talking about?
English

@tylermilliken_ @ChrisCotillo Better Tolle than the kid from DoubleA they just brought up. That had another Bobby Sprowl experience written all over it. (IYKYK) At least Tolle has some major league experience.
English

Payton Tolle will be starting for the Red Sox tonight against Cam Schlittler and the Yankees, per @ChrisCotillo.
Brayan Bello and Garrett Crochet both get pushed back a day. Just looking to feel anything at this point.

This is not Thursday's scoring environment. It's 49 degrees at first pitch.
Brady Singer was a different arm at home last year with a 3.29 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 16 home starts.
Sonny Gray still gets whiffs, but the road version was shakier with a 4.92 ERA away from home in 2025.
Gray still gave up 25 homers in 180.2 innings last year. One missed spot is enough against this Reds lineup.
The Red Sox already used Justin Slaten, Garrett Whitlock, and Aroldis Chapman for 3 innings to finish Game 1. The Reds didn't need Emilio Pagán or Tony Santillan.
Singer gets the cleaner late game setup and Gray gets no margin for a first-start mistake. That's enough for the Reds.

@tylermilliken_ Personally I would like to switch Duran and Anthony. I like Duran as a leadoff guy who gets you a base hit to put someone on. Anthony just has so much power and talent I want him hitting with guys on base.

Y'all clowned me last year before i went 32-0 in Round 1 😭
