Tomorrow the amazing @SLaframboise14 will be speaking at the House of Commons to keep this going! The more we talk about this, the harder it is for them to ignore us especially when @SupportOurSci continues to reach our parliamentary officials!!

@Dr_Perreault Totally agree! This is what @SupportOurSci is advocating for and one of their requests through the nationwide walkout happening May 1st.

So yes grad students need more $$. But is increasing award $$ the best approach? In over 6 years I've had only 3, 3!, students awarded. What about the rest? Seems to me grant $$ needs to go up, and institutions need to raise minimum stipends accordingly. Am I wrong? Could be.

A press conference is being held at the House of Commons on Monday, May 1st in regards to graduate student funding. We are looking for graduate students interested in sitting in the house of commons to show support for this cause. If you're interested send us a DM for more info!
