The number of healthcare staff using @careopinion to hear feedback from their patients is steadily growing... online patient feedback can lift morale + identify issues which need fixing (plenty of research on this!) careopinion.org.uk

We (the patient editor team and @KamranAbbasi) call for more patient and public partnership in medical journals. Much progress has been made over the last 10 years yet medical journals working with patients is still not the norm. @emmajdoble @WalkSquawks and @AmyPricePhD
The BMJ@bmj_latest

When The BMJ launched its patient and public partnership strategy in 2014 it was the first commitment of its kind by a medical journal. @emmajdoble, @WalkSquawks and Amy Price ask why more medical journals do not have a similar partnership with #patients bmj.com/content/386/bm…

A hugely important step in progressing patient partnership across all healthcare. This is something we have long advocated for and hope this will begin to push forward the call from patients, communities and the public to be included in decision making.
The BMJ@bmj_latest

For the first time in the World Health Organization’s 76 year history, world leaders have unanimously committed to put social participation—people, communities and civil society—at the heart of health decision making processes bmj.com/content/386/bm…

We asked our patient panel what topics mattered most to them during our initial planning of the issue. Many of them noted patient safety and so we interviewed patient safety commissioner Henrietta Hughes. The questions used in this interview were also curated by our patient panel
