This year’s #FreedomSummer with @CenterBlackEd is underway in Philly, Camden, Detroit & Memphis! In1999, Philadelphia Freedom Schools followed blueprints made by generations of Black liberation educators. These are the books we’ve read since then. We rock without a rival.

When I first got to Philly, I was a fish out of water. No connections. No place to live. I was at Temple everyday, crashing at Paley library. Someone saw me in stacks and said, “You need to go to Blockson”. His books changed my life. Thank you, Mr. Blockson.

@EarnYourLeisure Brothers, @EarnYourLeisure We love what you do, but you can bring that curriculum directly to us instead of jumping through the hoops of any school district. You already know that the PARENTS need as much #financialliteracy as the KIDS. This could be a bedrock for home education.
