Working closely with @BSEEgov, we remain committed to offshore safety, responsible production, and strong regulatory oversight. Facilities on the Pacific Outer Continental Shelf have produced energy for decades while maintaining a very low spill percentage in federal waters.

BOEM Acting Director Matt Giacona, Senior Advisor Matthew Palmer, and Chief of Staff Jenna Foreman toured Platform Gilda, an offshore oil and gas platform located 8.8 miles off Ventura County, CA. On the platform, they observed safety systems and federal oversight in action.
