@LoadnvstheGLXY @falloutplays Sony HAS money & Marathon, no matter how much I enjoy it, is not the finance operation capable of funding a venture separate from itself. Trust me, I get where you're coming from. But the purchase of Bungie by Sony already sealed its fate. Bungie will be deprecated like the rest.

@BOEnt_Studios @falloutplays Every company ever seeks revenue. Sony needs money to warrant giving money to Bungie to create something else including a d3. Money is the end all be all. Marathon needs that, if not then Bungie is shutdown! Not cut off like before with Xbox and activision.

I've seen (& signed) the petition going around. But I think the much more powerful response if you're hoping for some kind of future for the franchise is: Log on the week of June 9th. Dont' get me wrong, Sony execs aren't gonna fall to their knees in tears and insta-green-light D3 or anything. But seeing SO many players out there logging on to give one last hurrah to the franchise that meant so much to them - it'll speak volumes in its own way. At the very least, we'll have one more window of fun enjoying the last batch of new content in a game that meant so much to us. At best, it'll show how passionate the community still is, and just how badly so many of us want SOME kind of future for this franchise, no matter how long it might take to build. I'll see you out there in June. It's gonna be one hell of a ride.

@LoadnvstheGLXY @falloutplays "Cut off" is a wild way to describe going independent. What it will take to develop D3 is not in debate nor disagreement. But the catalyst to even go in that direction is fully prohibited by Sony's business strategy overall. And ignoring that to feed the hopium is not helpful.

@BOEnt_Studios @falloutplays Bungies was cut off from Xbox and Activision before. So if marathon fails and Sony does not want to produce anything else with Bungie, what happens to Bungie? D3 at minimum will take 6+ years and cost 350 to 500 million, people reacted this way when they went from Halo to destiny

@LoadnvstheGLXY @falloutplays Correction, I'm a Halo Combat Evolved vet. Never played OG Marathon. Point is I've been w/ Bungie before, during, & after its prime. Destiny is their soul. Sony cares not. Sony seeks only revenue, not community. Sony chose to abandon that soul. Playing Marathon won't right this.

@LoadnvstheGLXY @falloutplays Poor take. Inexperienced as well. I'm a Destiny beta vet who played through to Renegades breaking only during Revenant. I too play Marathon and enjoy it. But Bungie is Destiny 2. Supporting Marathon supports Sony, and will not encourage their interest in supporting Destiny.

There were massive international protests over George Floyd and those police involved were severely punished with long prison sentences, yet the police responsible here did not even lose their jobs! An incredibly unjust double-standard!

Meanwhile, the same UK police have arrested over 12,000 people for social media posts. I'm sorry, but Nolan casting Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy has completely killed all immersion in this epic for me. Homer’s Odyssey was never some diverse melting pot. Helen was a fair skinned, golden-haired Spartan queen, daughter of Zeus, the ultimate beauty in an epic built by European blood and gods. Yet i'm meant to believe her face was the one who launched a 1,000 ships? It's very sad to see Nolan go down this route. Ancient Greece wasn’t full of Sub Saharans, yet they’re flooding Ithaca with dei and tokenism. This destroys what could’ve been a incredible Epic. Tragic.

The former could care less if they face opps better than them on a daily. The latter cries everytime they have to fight for their spot.

"leveling the playing field" with sbmm harms the experience for everyone. ppl are discouraged from improving and never see top players. you will always feel like you suck bc if you improve sbmm will beat you back down.

SBMM doesnt beat you back down. It keeps you in the state of challenge... and lazy mfs hate working for the spot.

The matter is about SBMM & it's purpose for facilitating a healthy gameplay loop for the majority of users rather than stroking the egos of a small minority who've excelled beyond those lobbies and are now victims of success.

@sillycatfan2006 @sorabecareful Yes it feels good to be number one on the field. Doesn't mean you're any more entitled to it than those getting stomped. SBMM works best when player pop is scarce, bc it levels the field. When player pop is high, its a non issue either way. Justifying unfair play is an L take.
