Well if the former Fishing Minister is anything to go by , I'd say no they do not. At a critical time in our politics, about to exit the EU. The fishing Minister openly admitted in a tweet, that she hadn't had time to read the Withdrawal Agreement Fishing section, because she was busy with a local nativity play 🤦 I cant believe she bothered to read any of it. If she openly admitted she didn't read the section pertaining to her charge! Being able to prioritise is important. A skill I'd guess she lacks, and she's just one! The new Energy Bill, has far reaching powers that could be abused in the wrong hands, I believe this parliament is very much the wrong hands. We all saw how covid wardens got it wrong, the police got it wrong and the scientists got it wrong , during lockdown. So the phrase in The Bill reasonable force to enter your home is a great concern. Who decides what is reasonable force. How is it implemented? If you can be arrested for having a coffee in the open air in a field with your friend, then interpretation is all down to the boots on the ground, the localised power bases. People enjoy a bit of power, it corrupts their rationale. How any single MP can accept this Bill is beyond me.
