Today, every operational team member is held to the same standards, completes the same assessments, and carries the same kit. We work side by side as one team; supporting each other, learning from each other, and valuing the unique skills and experience every individual brings.

On #InternationalWomensDay, we're celebrating the incredible women of @BPMRT: volunteers who bring strength, leadership, resilience, and empathy to the team.

2047hrs 03/03/26 Team brought to standby at the request of @RPMRTeam to assist @LancsPolice with a missing person search in the #Colne area. @MRSearchDogsEng @CaveRescueOrg @BoltonMRT also requested.

Here's the twist.... the pictures aren't from this weekend, or from Scotland; they're of the team on search and rescue operations in #Lancashire!

Whilst it may not seem like the #Cairngorms and Lancashire have much in common, operating on snow and steep ground are the same wherever they are, and it's essential the team have the skills to operate whatever the weather or terrain.

This weekend some of the team have been at @glenmorelodge in #Scotland undertaking winter skills training. Keep reading this thread to find out more, and a surprise...

As a charity we rely entirely on donations and grants, so support like this is vital and ensures we are able to continue to operate and provide support to those who need us.

Reliable transport is essential for getting our volunteers where they’re needed quickly and safely, and this vehicle will make a real difference to how we work.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the @WestLancsPGL for their very generous donation which has funded the purchase of a nine-seat minibus for the team.
