The 3-Day 2022 ACE Global Consortium Meeting is happening now. Delegates include Mike Tartakovsky of @NIH, @UmarKakumba of @Makerere, Steve Reynolds (NIH representative in Uganda), and students from the Mali Centre of Excellence hub.

1/2 Day 2: H.E @USAmbUganda Natalie Brown joined the ACE Global consortium where #ACE students from Uganda and Mali showcased some of the research and work done. Delegates also attended more workshops including one on 3D models for use in virtual reality or 3D Printing.

Impressed by students from 🇺🇬 & 🇲🇱 I met at @AceUganda Annual Consortium event showcasing their research aimed at solving critical health problems using advanced bioinformatics. A great partnership between 🇺🇸 and 🇺🇬 supported by @NIH and public-private partnerships. 1/3

We are delighted to support the 2022 ACE Global Consortium which is happening in Uganda this year. The 3-day consortium has brought together stakeholders to showcase previous work done with funding from @NIH and discuss strategies for further collaboration in Uganda.

Today we launched the Big Data Interest group at @IDIMakerere @MakerereCHS that will bring together Data Scientists, Bioinformaticians, Computer Scientists, Statisticians, Molecular geneticists and related disciplines to study #AI #Bioinformatics #ML to improve medical treatments
