Academia. You need to stop reminding staff to take annual leave and wellbeing breaks whilst pilling on impossible workloads, training and deadlines. People are booking the annual leave but are working through it

It’s been a week since I lost my Gran suddenly, 2nd of our family since March to leave us. She was a beautiful woman and like a Mum to my brother and I. I found out the day after I’ve been accepted for a research PhD. 2020 - the rollercoaster of your life 👏🏻

The home birth service, suspended earlier this year due to the pandemic, will be re-introduced Mon 15 June after a meeting of midwives resolved concerns to ensure the safe birth of babies at home. Mums-to-be should discuss their birthing plans with their community midwife.

Moving to relax lockdown does NOT appear to be based on best scientific advice. What's going on? When government does things they think are unpopular, they say "it's the science." When they want to do it, they ignore the science.
Jeremy Farrar@JeremyFarrar

Covid-19 spreading too fast to lift lockdown in England. Agree with John & clear science advice. TTI has to be in place, fully working, capable dealing any surge immediately, locally responsive, rapid results & infection rates have to be lower. And trusted theguardian.com/world/2020/may…
