@thepowerfulHRV They halted the STRC ATM. So where is that 20:1 coming from?

Air conditioners may be making heat waves more severe.
Air conditioning serves as one of the best tools for protecting people from heat related illnesses and deaths during extreme weather events. At the same time scientists point out that this technology adds to the very warming that increases the frequency and intensity of dangerous heat waves.
When factoring in both electricity consumption and refrigerant leaks air conditioners contribute an estimated 3.2 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. They also account for roughly seven percent of worldwide electricity use.
The United States bears a particularly heavy share of this impact. Most American homes have air conditioning unlike many European countries. During the peak summer months from May to August U S air conditioners generate about 150 million metric tons of carbon dioxide per month. That amount roughly matches the Netherlands total annual emissions.
The issue extends past direct emissions. Rising temperatures drive greater demand for cooling. Expanding access to air conditioning without cleaner energy sources further increases greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere.
This situation also highlights global inequalities. Wealthier nations can widely adopt air conditioning while many lower income countries that face the worst effects of extreme heat have limited cooling options despite their smaller contribution to overall emissions.
Studies suggest that if developing nations adopted air conditioning at levels seen in wealthier countries the resulting emissions could add approximately 0.05 degrees Celsius of extra global warming by 2050.
Experts emphasize that the answer is not to abandon air conditioning. Instead efforts should focus on making cooling systems far more efficient expanding clean energy sources redesigning buildings planting urban trees and creating cities that naturally resist heat.
As global temperatures rise finding ways to cool people without further warming the planet represents one of the major engineering challenges of this century.

@AutismCapital The UK because they don’t understand how freedom works

@BitcoinBombadil No one tell Saylor about ordinals before August 7th or all his AI slop could end up on the ledger

@JDBet45 @BTCtreasuries @GrainofSaltSF Exactly which is why people aren’t happy with Saylor. It was never about Saylor getting liquidated because he’s not! It’s about have less bitcoin in the future because of the prefs and converts. People tolerated it when the prefs were spitting out 30k bitcoin a month
English

@BTCFrodo @BTCtreasuries @GrainofSaltSF Really tough to say. Would need to sell what 50k BTC at $120k to cover it? Probably won’t be all BTC, would assume some ATM too. How quickly STRC gets to 100 and how much volume would get us some solid predictions (once 100 is hit).

JUST IN: Mike Flaum (@GrainofSaltSF) just said "Strategy had 193,000 Bitcoin in early 2024. In 2.5 years, they quadrupled. We thought 200,000 was doing great."
He also called a bottom this summer with a trend up through year-end.
The naysayers keep missing the compounding. 🔥

@ByzGeneral @WhiteHouse You’re crying like a Coretard right now Byzantine. Deal with it
English

@JDBet45 @BTCtreasuries @GrainofSaltSF Exactly so do you think they have more or less bitcoin 2 years from now because of those sales needed. They’re not getting liquidated, the only question is more or less bitcoin 2 years from now than they have right now
English

@BTCFrodo @BTCtreasuries @GrainofSaltSF That is 2 plus years from now. They have time, they will keep selling some common I’m sure to build up cash reserves. So could be a mix of BTC sales and cash/common to cover it. But time is truly on their side right now. Unless you think BTC will not appreciate in 2 years?
