We're on a mission to get merchants that accept #bitcoin properly tagged within @OpenStreetMaps and beautifully visualised within FOSS mobile and web apps.

Laszlo did not waste generational wealth by spending 10k Bitcoin on pizza in 2010. If he had used fiat for those pizzas, he would still be short 10k ₿ today. By making his choice, he kickstarted the ₿ merchant economy and will be remembered for ever. ₿ like Laszlo.

Just used a @Square terminal to buy coffee with bitcoin in SEATTLE! It was seamless and sparked a great conversation. So bullish. Apparently I was their first customer to pay with satoshis ⚡️🟧

Bitcoin's north star metric isn't the price, it's the number of merchants accepting it.

@KwikbitShawn Lots of places don't have recognized addresses and we need an accurate lat/lon for @openstreetmap. We'll look into the UX though as @escapedcat says. We'de need reverse geocoding, which can be pretty inaccurate and so would also need tweaking when tagging.

@btcmap um, so safe to say this was designed from current or ex military?? Why is latitude and longitude the primary info for location. Us plebs generally use a physical mailing address. Just saying
