In parallel of the Podcast "Bitcoin as Store of Value", I decided to write an article explaining why I believe Bitcoin is the best store of value humanity has ever had. Stay Tuned!
Warren Buffett's formula for success is simple: 1. Hold the majority of your portfolio in a small number of large, quality businesses (e.g. Apple, Coke, American Express) 2. Hold them for a long time and be patient while the businesses grow. 3. Slam burgers and guzzle Coke by the gallon. Meanwhile Bitcoiners: 1. Hold the majority of your portfolio in the dominant digital asset that was engineered to be the superior store of value asset. 2. Hold it for a long time and be patient while the government turns the currency into confetti. 3. Eat healthy foods, get some sunshine, and exercise in nature. Let's check the score card over the past 5 years: Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has returned 91% while #Bitcoin has returned 837%. Bitcoin now has a market cap over $1.2 Trillion, compared to Berkshire's $865 Billion. But people still see Buffett as a genius investor, while Bitcoiners are lucky, naive, or reckless. 🤷♂️ The price for this performance was some volatility along the way and occasional ridicule from family and friends during bear markets. But that volatility was easily survivable by those who remained solvent and understood what Bitcoin really is. For many, the hardest part of holding Bitcoin would have been doing something that most people probably laughed at them for. You store your money in magic Internet money? 🙄 The ones who ended up multiplying their wealth in BTC were the ones who were willing to look foolish. Even when their portfolio was down and their friends and family secretly delighted in their temporary paper losses. Yesterday they called you a naive gambler behind your back. Tomorrow they'll just call you a great investor. But luckily you'll be too busy living whatever life you want to care about what anyone thinks ✌️
