The biggest tragedy about this image is that under a fair monetary system, deflation would apply to all other areas of life aside from just consumer electronics. It's a political choice to allow the things you actually need to live such as housing, food and healthcare, to get more expensive every year resulting in working people becoming increasingly poorer. Keynesian Economics and monetary debasement via the money printer are amongst the greatest evils the world has ever seen.

They carefully curate their very mid lives to avoid any contact with ideas that upset their very tenuous and superficial understanding of the world. Seeing a good debate blackpills people who are smart enough (smarter than Joe, a low bar) to realize that the outcome of a debate depends more about the skill of the debater than the argument being made. But of course, if you actually understand a topic at a deep level, it’s very easy to tell if someone is simply a good debater without a well informed and structured opinion. An educated person and a good debater should be able to state every argument of their opponent better than their opponent, and then enumerate all of the reasons their opponent is wrong. LLMs do not have “opinions.” They do not believe things. They do not even know what it means to believe things. It’s simply the case that if you lose an argument to an LLM, you never really had an informed opinion in the first place. Sure LLMs are always going to have more facts at their disposal, as they can draw from the entire corpus of human knowledge at any point, but there should be no circumstance in which you are entering a debate and there is a major, pertinent counterargument of which you are totally unaware, and it is especially indefensible when you can simply ask the LLM to list every major argument for and against your position that has ever been made in the history of mankind. It’s still up to you to figure out how to structure those arguments clearly and convincingly, and to articulate them in the context of a worthy opponent’s counterpoints.
