Last two Carmen starts are what we feared with him all along. No doubt he belongs in the pen but no better fifth starter option at the moment. Jones can be there eventually but SP depth could be an issue if anyone goes down

We’re watching a seesaw of good stretches of play between Nick Gonzales and Nick Yorke, should just continue to ride that out for now. Gonzales in the clutch has been a nice surprise feather in his cap.. power absolutely nowhere to be found there currently though.

@chewker87 @kelsey_surmacz4 I think Silovs has skill and potential. He’s had good and bad games this year. Still only 24 and a rookie technically. I think him and Murashov will be good next year with Blom as a number 3 waiting. Plus got Gauthier too. And D’Aigle.

Yep. And don't forget that he was also phenomenal in Abbotsford's Calder Cup run last season.
Sure, it's the AHL. But he went 16-7 with a .931 SV% and won tournament MVP. Also a good international resume.
His track record suggests he shows up when the stage is the biggest.

@HunterHodies I’ll gladly take an L on this one too. Perhaps Silovs playoff series against Edmonton a couple years ago says something about his ability to rise to the occasion when the moment is big.

Perhaps this is a hot take, but I’m firing it off anyway. I thought Solo was playing so well leading up to the postseason that he should’ve been in at the start of it and his performance tonight, despite that blunder, has been very good. He is just so calm under pressure.

This series could use an Avery Hayes.
If the Penguins make it to Game 5, he should be on the next bus to Pittsburgh. A guy like him would thrive in a series like this.
