@ehdande Tell that to the millions of Kenyans who pay SHA SHIF dedicatedly every end of the month only to get lip service & endless disappointments in the hands of ill equipped hospitals & personnel. WSR already signed a health collaboration deal with US probably with a cut for himself.

Kenyans should embrace the US Ebola opportunity. Given our widespread incompetence and kleptocracy, having the US by Kenya’s side to fight Ebola is a NO BRAINER. 1. Kenya is already vulnerable to Ebola because of proximity to DRC and Uganda. There is no new risk. 2. Yet Kenya probably has no capability and finances to handle the health emergency. 3. The risk exists with or without US patients 4. But with US patients we have a chance of some expertise, finances and soft considerations in other global matters since we are a beggar country on the global stage. 5. Put the emotions aside, think analytical and objectively and seize the opportunity. How come they didn’t approach other countries like UG or Rwanda? 6. However, the deal should comply to Kenya constitutional dictates of openness and transparency.

We say NO to odious debt payments. For years, Kenyans have been forced to pay back trillions in loans that never transformed their lives. No meaningful industrialisation. No quality public healthcare. No modern schools. No economic liberation for the youth. Just endless taxation, corruption, and suffering. How do citizens continue paying debts while hospitals lack medicine, graduates remain jobless, roads remain incomplete, and millions struggle to afford food and shelter? Enough is enough. Kenya cannot continue mortgaging the future of generations for debts that benefited a small political elite while ordinary wananchi sink deeper into poverty. This is the moment for economic liberation. This is the moment to reject financial exploitation and state capture. This is the moment to rebuild Kenya on justice, productivity, accountability, and prosperity for all. Join Safina Party ; the vessel of Kenya’s economic revolution. ✊🏾

@captrubani1 @ephraimnjegafan @OkiyaOmtatah The burden to repay odious debts will rest solely on those who approved its illegality whether it is the elected leaders or the banks themselves. Kenyans will not be held liable to pay for the sins of crooked leaders who failed to follow constitutional provisions of the PFM Act.

@ephraimnjegafan With respect. The Elephant in the room is it the debt ODIOUS?. If so then let's address that and the consequences. As @OkiyaOmtatah has stated we will not be the first country to default. Our country cannot continue on this path.

These people who keep saying that the public debt should be audited ought to know that, indeed, it is audited every year as per the Constitution. This is one issue where a lot of people are living in denial. They think that we can refuse to pay by giving flimsy excuses. 🧵

@otienowill @ephraimnjegafan ANY PUBLIC DEBT taken by government unconstitutionally & WITHOUT the APPROVAL of PARLIAMENT whose AUTHORITY was granted to them by the PEOPLE OF KENYA, shall be considered ODIOUS & therefore ILLEGAL. It is not about whether public debt was audited or not.

@JimiWanjigi Your Excellency, it seems you will have to add Standardized Operational Safety & Security Systems to your Free Education Plan. If CDF had not been greedily reintroduced by this rogue regime, maybe those resources would have gone into School Upgrading Projects with such in mind.

Our hearts and prayers are with the families who have lost their beloved daughters in the tragic fire at Utumishi Girls Academy in Gilgil. No words can truly ease the pain of losing young lives filled with promise, hope, and dreams for the future. As a nation, we mourn with the parents, guardians, teachers, and fellow students who are enduring this unimaginable tragedy. Our immediate attention is focused on the rescue of those affected, the treatment of the injured, and support for their families, while investigations continue into the cause of the fire. May God grant comfort and strength to the grieving families during this painful time. Poleni sana.

The USA has vowed not to allow anyone exposed to EBOLA to the USA soil. They are free to take their citizens exposed to EBOLA and quarantine them in Space Ships, or to the USA territory. If the USA doesn’t want them, they can stay in the DRC. If the EBOLA exposed people are not safe for the USA, they are not safe for Kenyans. @WilliamsRuto must be deposed if he brings EBOLA to Kenya using infected USA citizens.

Over 40% of Kenyans are living below the poverty line, 1.4 million children are out of school, and over 67% of the youth remain unemployed, yet some elected leaders continue to push tribal narratives day and night. Our biggest enemy is not each other. It is poverty, unemployment, corruption, and failed leadership. We must refuse to be divided along tribal lines while ordinary citizens continue to suffer together. United we thrive, divided we fall. One People. One Nation. One Kenya for All.

@Kenyans I totally understand @MoraraKebaso . Like the seat of Member of Parliament to start with should not even be an elective position but a meritocratic system of appointment via vetting by @lawsocietykenya under strict governance guidelines. Then we shall avoid Mtu-Wetu Mediocrity.

The latest propaganda being pushed around UDA and 2027 is very simple. They want Kenyans to believe that the election is already gone, that Ruto will rig, that voting will not matter, that registration is useless and that the people should enter 2027 already defeated in their minds. That is why you are seeing this “they will rig” line being sponsored and amplified everywhere, including by sections of the media that have become very friendly to this regime. NTV itself has carried the framing of UDA leaders allegedly plotting to rig 2027, showing how loud this narrative has become in public conversation. To be honest, the optics of serious, countrywide rigging are too heavy for this regime. This is a government that cannot repair potholes, cannot manage fuel prices, cannot manage schools, cannot manage hospitals, cannot manage salaries, cannot even explain simple taxes without creating anger. You really believe the same confused regime has the intelligence, discipline, secrecy and technical sophistication to manage a clean nationwide rigging operation without being caught? Rigging a presidential election is not like bribing a few brokers in a hotel or manipulating a small party nomination. A national election has agents, polling stations, forms, constituency tallying centres, observers, media, screenshots, live streams, parallel tallies and millions of angry citizens watching every number. The moment Kenyans realize even one vote does not tally, this country will enter a crisis bigger than anything this regime can control. That is why I believe this “he will rig anyway” chorus is not just a warning. It is psychological warfare meant to kill voter registration, kill turnout and create apathy. It is also meant to make young people say, “Why vote if they will steal it?” That is exactly where they want you mentally. The real answer is not to stay home but massive registration, massive turnout, agents in every polling station, parallel tallying, civic vigilance and zero fear. Elections are not stolen from people who are awake, organized and watching every vote. Elections are stolen from people who were discouraged before the first ballot was even cast. So don’t fall for the propaganda. The vote still matters, registration matters, turnout mattes and polling station vigilance matters.

Yesterday I joined the family of the late Minister John Michuki in celebrating the life of his son Martin Michuki Njoroge who passed on. Martin was full of kindness & love and the memories we shared will will always be cherished. Martin’s legacy will continue through the lives he impacted. While I mourn this painful loss, I celebrate the beautiful life he lived and find comfort in the memories we shared and in the love he gave so freely. May Martin’s soul rest in eternal peace and may his find comfort in Christ Jesus

Today, the news is full of houses flooding from underground stories in Naivasha. But there’s something many media houses are not mentioning. Several residents say that weeks/months before the flooding began, they heard a loud explosion or massive underground bang towards Mt longonot direction. And after that, water started seeping from the ground into homes and farms. I’ve spent days trying to follow up on this. There has been no confirmed volcanic eruption at Mt Longonot recently. But several locals confirm the same. So what exactly caused that explosion? I've seen some geologists linking the flooding purely to heavy rains. But locals insist this is different, and for some reason I've started believing them. Naivasha and Nakuru sit on major underground aquifers. One theory some residents and even I are discussing is whether that explosion may have created underground faults or cracks within the aquifer system, forcing water upwards to the surface and causing the flooding being witnessed now. Because, according to locals, this is not normal rain flooding. They say water has been seeping from underground in ways they’ve never seen before, despite years of heavy rains in the region. At this point, it feels like there are serious questions that are not being answered.

@ahmednasirlaw The truth of the matter is Ruto cannot give banks government business illegally then tax their profits because he is conflicted in the sense he himself owns a bank. By deliberately avoiding to tax banks, he effectively increases marginal gains at the expense of regular taxpayers.

I just don't get it. Why aren't we having windfall taxes on these crazy super profits banks in Kenya are making by lazily lending depositors money to government with zero risk and supper profits? If 60% of a bank's profits are from government lending, the Minster of finance @JohnMbadiN must have powers to levy a windfall tax.
