On numerous occasions she says, he worked 16+ hour days 6-7 days a week. He was a chemist, but held several important patents, invented, and built. Yes we need better wages, fair reward, but we need to work as hard as our elders did to improve it for the next generation.

Not security or localism, we just acknowledge other people in passing, like saying I see you, we both exist. - Took me a while to break that habit when I joined the military. - That's changing however as people become more isolationist kind of. - No one trusts schools, lots of home schooling now, for just one example.

Some gems I’ve heard in Appalachia over the years. When someone asks “how you doing?” “If I was any better there would be two of me walking around.” “I might sit on my hands to keep from clapping.” “Hey I’m just watching everybody watch me.” But mostly you get head nods and “good, you?” In passing. A head nod can mean five hundred things but it’s mainly just “hello, respect” in a less engaged passing. Gives off security or localism.

I think less than 5% of households even have a paid subscription to some A.i. service. Probably higher if u count peoples work subscriptions but still. If anything I think it will decentralize knowledge allowing more job creation. Largest impact probably around the people most restricted from the central knowledge pool.

As long as some people are allowed control of digital money printers without facing the people who back the currency, it’ll continue. We keep making systems that run completely opposed to human nature. Our empathy doesn’t extend so far, so we must have extreme transparency and checks on these things. We don’t. We also lack motivation at the top to course correct. They stay ahead of poverty. Look at how the average income in D.C. is even double that of L.A. or NYC. For a city of public service.
