Archaeologists in North Carolina have confirmed what locals have quietly known for generations: the first roadside Bojangles was discovered by early settlers thousands of years ago, tucked beside a creek somewhere between the mountains and a two-lane back road. Ancient carvings reportedly show four confused hunters standing in animal skins, staring at a glowing orange sign while one points with a stick and another tries to understand why the tribe suddenly has access to biscuits, sweet tea, and seasoned fries without hunting anything. Experts believe the group was originally tracking game through the woods when they stumbled upon the structure. After realizing they could get hot food, caffeine, and a reason to sit down for a while, the tribe immediately decided, “Yeah… we’re not leaving.” Further excavations uncovered what researchers believe was the original North Carolina settlement layout: • One Bojangles • A Food Lion about five minutes down the road • And a gas station where someone’s always standing outside saying, “Weather’s about to turn, I can feel it” Historians now refer to this as the earliest known North Carolina civilization — proof that even thousands of years ago, you didn’t need much… just a good meal, a backroad, and someone nearby who swears they know what the weather’s about to do. 🌄🍗🥤

Roughly 46 percent of voters in Virginia vote Republican. Geographically, the vast majority of the state is conservative (see 2024 voting map). Yet, those on the right have zero representation in the U.S. Senate. In the U.S. House of Representatives, Republicans currently hold five of 11 seats, 45 percent. Under the proposed redistricting plan by Gov. Spanberger and Democrat legislators, Republicans would lose four of those seats. Democrats would control 10 of 11 House seats and both Senate seats. Is that fair? Know the facts as you cast your vote about the proposed redistricting.

NEW: 67-year-old Karen Cooke Lewis arrested for scratching a Tesla Cybertruck with nails on a board in Collettsville, North Carolina. The owner of the Cybertruck says he had no clue who Karen was. "We had all the craziness with Teslas when Elon was part of Doge and all that stuff, but I thought we had kind of gotten past that and I'd kind of made it through unscathed," the owner said. Karen was arrested and charged with injury to personal property. When will they realize that Teslas have cameras that are recording them?

NEW: Social media philanthropist, Jimmy Darts, helps raise $150,000 for a struggling family in Oklahoma. The young boy had previously gone viral after he told Darts that God had been good to him despite his family's struggles. "Amanda shared with me that she is only a month away from homelessness. She has no car, no money for groceries, and is doing everything she can to care for her children and grandchildren," Darts said on GoFundMe. "Her son Cody was with her, and through tears he shared that he’s been bullied at school, but still said that God has been good to him." God bless them. Video: jimmydarts / ig.
