@Rams18and2 @LoudHouseFS I think year 1 will definitely be a team that needs to be better than the sum of its parts. Plenty of examples of players who moved from a mid-major to a power-conference team and made a big impact. Just not always easy to project who those players will be.

@LoudHouseFS @BZarp The real question is who fills Freeman’s spot. He was an elite player for a bad team. I don’t see anyone filling that role. Could it be the sum of the parts are greater? I’m just not a believer that players from weak conferences can make a difference in the ACC.

@Machata89 @LoudHouseFS True. But it's hard to recruit a point guard who'll be ready to play as a freshman if he thinks Tyler Ennis is going to be there blocking him, for example. By the time you realize Ennis will be one-and-done, the recruitment of the next class is practically over.

@LoudHouseFS @BZarp I agree with most of this but regardless of guys developing faster and leaving earlier it is on the coach to have known that could happen and do a better job planning/recruiting. I mean doesn't a coach want guys to develop. Jim did a bad job recruiting for like 8-9 years.
