@00jcf00 The team may not have big names but they have a solid, deep group. Honestly my main worry is how Kiyan progresses. The way he played last year won't work going forward. If he works on his shot, FT's and defense and adapts to Gerry's way he will get meaningful minutes.

I think the big man rotation is set for Syracuse now Probably looks like Sadiq at the 4 with Folefac off the bench Wilson at the 5 with Siby and Goodrick backing up I like this rotation a lot. Lots of good defenders

@DomeFoam44 @OrangeCuseFB C is hard to find. Pretty sure no one liked William Kyle going into the year based on what he did at UCLA. Goodrick is the athlete Kyle is but he was productive before he got hurt. Siby is raw but has skills.

@DomeFoam44 @OrangeCuseFB A top 1/3 NIL budget does not guarantee winning. What's more important is how you spend the $ and then how they are coached. If SU is in the top 1/2 of ACC NIL but they play like top 1/3 or better that is what matters

@OrangeCuseFB Tell me with a straight face this current roster (specifically PG + C) should instill confidence and truly reflects a “top third” NIL budget in the ACC

@ZackBlatt Draft the best player, J. Love and figure it out from there. The Jets could not score last year. There defense is pretty good right now. They can address it with the 16th pick and the 2 2nd rounders. If you can trade Breece for a 3rd or 4th rounder use that for Ted Hurst.

Also, I think in this conversation debating Arvell Reese and David Bailey, people have conflated Bailey being more pro-ready with Reese being some long-term developmental project that won’t contribute for a while. I personally think Reese is going to be good and productive right away. And potentially a star long-term. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@BarryCuse Everyone wants to win but in all seriousness Doty can play, Dual is a lock down defender and that matters, NBA scouts really like Tobiason, Goodrick looked good before he got hurt, 3M is the kind of player teams covet and Siby is raw but has skills. Let’s see who else they get.

We’ve got M3 that can score but apparently not much else, Doty who “gives effort”, Dual who struggles offensively, Siby who struggles offensively, Tasman who has bad knees, Sadiq and Kiyan. What about this says NCAA Tournament?

I’ve been giving it time and hoping for the best but I’m officially concerned about the state of our men’s basketball roster. Our portal recruiting has… not gone nearly as well as I would have hoped. It’s honestly been pretty bad in general. I like the guys we’ve gotten fine, but as smaller pieces in a larger puzzle. And the bigger pieces are missing.
